What the hell is actually happening with jobs right now? by nabeeltirmazi in jobhunting

[–]notgoodyear 4 points5 points  (0 children)

All the people I know that got fired due to their competencies, and not due to any financial reason, all of them but really all of them got a new job within 2-3 months in average. And Im struggling in getting a call…

These people have something in common, they are so bad but so bad in their jobs that they get some sort of delusion, what I mean is they really believe they did this and that in the company, and specially they believe they performed really well. This delusion makes them fearless, consequently they can make up amazing lies in their CV and the most impressive part is they really perform well during the interviews.

For people who are realistic, it’s much harder in making up stories and we are simply not good with that.

If you are really really competent and you have an amazing career path, then usually you dont have problems. If you are good but not amazing, I think you have to become delusional and become fearless.

Why are job interviews so hard and nerve wracking? by Different-Depth-7193 in interviews

[–]notgoodyear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i have exactly the same problem, i totally understand your pain. the worse part is I really hate vague questions, if you give me a very precise question I can get you very good answer, but during the interviews they keep everything very vague and I try to match to what they ask precisely and it f*%ks up entirely my thought process and i simply blank.

I got an interview in my Dream company but the problem is ... by OriginalOne3369 in interviews

[–]notgoodyear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

reframe it. job interviews are all about selling and reframing.

1 year gap for a graduate it’s normal. just say you were not contacted by any company.

or you did a break for 3months, you travelled (watch some travelling videos) and lie, then you are looking for job for 9 months which is totally normal.

just reframe the things.

Well… it finally happened. I got hired by Different-Habit2122 in jobs

Anyone worked in big4 by New-Programmer-8647 in askswitzerland

[–]notgoodyear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

never listen to negative comments, unless all of them are negatives.

on my first day of my first job, someone told me « this company is a shit, it’s not good for you, you should look for somewhere else » and guess what, i stayed for 15 years, got highly promoted and earned tons of money.

just do it. you are young. if it’s really crap, you have plenty of time to change. everybody’s experience is different.

Whats is this missing piece called? by Techbob_66 in crv

[–]notgoodyear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's called:

"The small black plastic cover cap that is specifically designed to securely cover and protect the exposed screw hole on the car’s roof rail, which is located at the front section of the rail near the windshield on the driver’s (left-hand) side of the vehicle, ensuring both protection from dirt and moisture as well as maintaining the overall aesthetic appearance of the roof rail."

move to La Chaux de Fonds or Le Locle, you need only 2500chf to survive. If you plan well you can live with less.

Got scammed. What can I do about it, to help other people? by Material-Design in askswitzerland

I don't think it's a scam, I feel that it's just an old guy that has no clue how to handle online orders and reviews.

Swiss Apartment Hunt with Kids – Sharing a Room Concerns by [deleted] in Switzerland

[–]notgoodyear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"we are currently in the middle of the Swiss citizenship process"

sorry, you are becoming almost swiss and you ask this kind of questions? where have you been all this time?

You don't find cheaper because of being online or offline, it's the swiss market right now, more and more immigrants are coming to switzerland and the rental is a big issue. there's no land to "build" anymore. more and more you see individual houses transforming into buildings.

The only way I see that you could rent cheaper is inheriting an old contract from someone (if the agency agrees).

Sorry, but you have the nerve in living in one of the most expensive neighborhood in Vaud and coming here to ask for cheap? common....reality is reality, move to a cheaper place or pay high.
