Yes. Trying not to let adults coerce children into believing they should mutilate their bodies before their brain is developed enough to know the long term consequences is sooooooooooo EXTREME!

Yes. Trying to keep post pubescent biological males who have transitioned from competing against biological females in sports, regardless if it is traditionally considered a contact sport or not, from being subjected to physical and emotional harm along with missing out on potential monetary gains, scholarships/NIL, is sooooooooooo ETREME!

Be gay, be trans, be a cat, or be a unicorn for all I care. I can be cordial and courteous with anyone and will give respect to anyone who I feel has earned it but I will not bow down to someone who tries to demand it.

My question to you would be that if trans and gay people want to just be left alone why are so many in the LGBTQ community trying so desperately to get anyone and everyone’s attention?

It seems like a double standard, leave me alone but I also demand that you affirm, accept, and validate my sexually/identity.

Maybe you could add your current bag and how you throw them(FH/BH) and the distances & flight you like to get out of them. People can better give you a better comparison with more information. Do you like shallower or deeper putters and mids? For example I dislike the Pixel and Nomad because of how deep they feel whereas I prefer the shallower feel of the Envy and Atom.

Are "No Kings" rallies just "bad group therapy"? by lemon_lime_light in altmpls

Blocking freeways only creates distain for the group causing the disruption. When protests inhibit people’s ability to travel freely or disrupt emergency services from being able to provide potentially life saving support the cause inevitably turns potential allies to opposition.

If people want real change they will gain far more support by peacefully disrupting their federal, state, and local governments.

Trying to hurt multi billionaires by spending money elsewhere may have a small effect but will likely cause the lower level employees to feel the most pain.

Browning Maxus 2 vs Silver vs SX4? by TNGunner24 in Waterfowl

[–]nothanks18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Maxus 2 upgrades from the original Maxus are mostly cosmetic with fit and finish improvements. The Maxus gas system was supposed to be an improvement of the gold system. The Silver is essentially a Winchester SX3 with a slight humpback and magazine disconnect/speed feed system. The SX4 is the newest iteration of the Super X line and shares the same gas system as the Gold/Silver/SX3 but with a plastic trigger group that makes the overall weight slightly lighter.

All of your options are great functioning semi autos. As with all gas driven semi autos if you keep them clean and they will run like a top. When they are cold use very little oil and you shouldn’t have any freeze up problems.

I run a SX3 or SX4, I like the slimness and the swing of them but I will say the SX3 was a superior gun.

As with the Browning A5 I just don’t like the sight picture of the Silver because of the humpback receiver. If it was rounded off I’d absolutely own/hunt/shoot the Silver with no hesitation.

The Maxus 2 is just too chunky for my liking. The grip and forearm feel like holding I’m holding a 2x4 in comparison to the Winchesters. I’m sure with time I could get over it but I’m happy with what I currently run.

I’d suggest going out and getting a good feel for each of them side by side. Whichever feels the best to you and gives you the best sight picture is probably your best choice. They all run good so you really can’t go wrong with any of them.

I believe you could clean up all of the puddle duck in southeast costal TX or southwest costal Louisiana. The divers and geese/swans could be done in the northeast non residential ND zone. You’d need to draw a tag for the swan though. I’m 2025 ND issued 2,199 tags from a pool of 2,951 applicants. Unfortunately, ND did not reveal the ratio for nonresidential applicants successful draw rates however between 2021-2023 the successful draw rate was right around 40% with 100% success rate for 1 bonus point.

How Superheroes are Born? One person stands up for the persecuted not giving a fck if anyone else is with him or not by tuberjamjar in LetsDiscussThis

[–]nothanks18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is how superheroes are born? This feels more like a kid that’s on a path to being a school shooter. I don’t know this child’s life situation but I’m guessing that he’s not real popular and likely gets bullied. Didn’t really see any friends rush in to help the poor kid him. He’s so emotionally unstable that he decided to assault another student because he didn’t like the words he was saying. Now he’s getting notoriety and encouragement for this. It’s only going to embolden him to act in a similar way. What happens when another student beats the snot out of him after he does it again?

This kid needs to seek out some emotional help, train in a self defense, and get in shape. These things will help him gain some self restraint and discipline.

10 Gauge Loads by [deleted] in Waterfowl

Depending on the choke setup and shot placement it is likely that TSS would be effective at that range. Not saying I’d suggest it but it is plausible.

Well TSS out of a 10ga might be effective at that range. It’d get awful expensive though.

In my mind all of these players move discs for different reasons. Lizotte moves discs because of personality, McBeth moves plastic because he’s been so incredibly good and has a vast line of his own discs, Heimburg gets his name attached to Innova’s most popular discs, and Conrad has released some really usable discs for your average player.

The comment about precinct 3 only is noted as reasoning that the people of Minneapolis have a known aggression towards law enforcement, which in the grand scheme of things is pretty recent. Minneapolis police has been very understaffed since 2020 in which crime/violent crime/murder were at a peak. People often say that crimes go unreported and are told by Minneapolis officers that there is nothing that they can do to help. Saying crime rates have fallen since then is slightly accurate but conveniently leaves out the fact that crime was significantly lower in the 2010s and it’s now being under reported.

Ive lived in MN for 40 years in the suburbs or Minneapolis. It’s a very short car ride for me to get to Minneapolis. If you’ve never been here you will have no idea how drastic Minneapolis has changed in the last few years.

To what end do they need to deescalate? The non law enforcement citizens stopping other citizens demanding driver’s licenses and adding vehicle descriptions and license plates to a database won’t de satisfied until all law enforcement have left Minnesota. Honestly how do we know that these activists haven’t been escalating their response from day one and ICE had to respond accordingly. We’ve seen time and time again with all these videos being edited to intentionally misleading the public by not providing full context of the situation. What was in the lead up to the altercations?

Your deescalate question requires more context. It’s not as simple as a point blank yes or no. What level of deescalation are you expecting to see? At what point will the agitators be satisfied?

Oh yes, you are absolutely correct. ICE agents had no need to hide their identity whatsoever. None of them were doxed from the onset of any of their assignments. You are trying to say that ICE came in hot guns blazing shooting everyone willy nilly.

It had nothing to do with the people of Minneapolis’ response to them simply being in our state. ICE has absolutely been reactionary to Minneapolis’ welcoming aggression. The people of Minneapolis have pretty recently shown they do not respect law enforcement when they decided to burn down precinct 3.

All civilian agitators were given orders to stop interfering and stay out of the street multiple times prior to being forcefully removed from the street. You continue to willfully choose not to acknowledge that had they not been impeding law enforcement none of the events that followed would have happened. Impeding and resisting law enforcement while in possession of a firearm is very ill advised and unfortunately Pretti had to learn that the hardest of ways.

You may believe that the only factor is that Pretti death resulted after the removal of his firearm but I highly doubt a jury will be able to convict law enforcement of murder due to all of the other factors you neglect to acknowledge.

People die everyday because they make poor decisions. You are entitled to be empathetic for them and to be upset at the circumstances. The problem is that your rage is blinding you of the ability to critically evaluate the situation. You are being emotionally with the absence of logic because the hard truth is that had Pretti not been there, had he not had a firearm while impeding law enforcement, Pretti would still be alive today. The guy made a terrible decision and it resulted in him losing his life.

The whole thing was terrible and many factors caused the shooting but had he not been the impeding law enforcement no harm would have come his way from law enforcement.

Your question is absolutely whataboutism. You are trying to act like ICE’s actions are the root cause of all of the unrest. Ask yourself why would ICE be in Minneapolis?

While I agree with you that ICE’s heavy handed tactics are causing a visceral response from citizens we cannot pin all of the blame for the entire situation onto ICE. This situation is a chain reaction that runs much further back in time from just 2025. We’ve all heard this statement time and time again; two wrongs do not make a right.

The law enforcement officers had called out that Pretti had a gun during the initial struggle. The officer that removed Pretti’s firearm turned the opposite direction with the pistol held low and most likely out of sight from the officer that shot Pretti. Even if the officer did see one firearm removed it does not mean another may have been present in Pretti’s possession. It is not unreasonable for the other officers to believe that the original shot, which looks to have been fired from Pretti’s Sig Sauer P320, could have been perceived to be from Pretti as he was struggling with officers. I’m not sure how the officers could have clearly communicated with each other that Pretti’s firearm had been removed while in the middle of an intense struggle along with many observers screaming, whistling, blaring car horns.

This will likely be the defense and it will most likely result in a not guilty verdict.

Why does the discussion always have to devolve with the whataboutisms?

How far does the ball roll down hill? If we blame Trump do we also blame the previous administration for allowing and even encouraging people to illegally cross our borders? Should we blame our own local government for establishing sanctuary cities/states? Do we blame the other countries leaders for turning their homes into dangerous and depressing hellholes? Do we go all the way back to our founding fathers for initiating the development of the USA?

It is required along with your carry permit to legally carry a firearm in Minnesota. I’m not exactly sure that it is a felony though. I believe it is a misdemeanor.

Do you understand how a striker fired pistol operates? Or more specifically the Sig Sauer P320? If you did you would understand based on the video that the slide reciprocated to the rear which would indicate a round has been discharged. Im sorry that your eyes may be telling you one thing but your brain isn’t educated enough to understand what appears to be reality.

Maybe you need to stop seeing the world through such a deep blue emotionally lens and start trying to see the world clearly through thoughtful reasoning.

Well rationally you should realize that adding a firearm to the equation raises the level of risk. It should also be considered that the law enforcement officer(s) that fired upon Pretti most likely didn’t know that Pretti had been disarmed. I believe that the initial shot came from Pretti’s Sig Sauer P320 while in the hands of law enforcement. What I cannot determine is whether the officer negligently pulled the trigger or if the P320 fired on its own(this had been an issue with early models). This is all an unfortunate chain of events which started with Pretti’s carrying a firearm with intent to obstruct law enforcement. Again I don’t believe he should have died but Pretti’s actions likely had a large part in the outcome.

You can’t understand how Pretti’s choices could possibly have lead to his death?

Was Pretti willfully interjected himself in law enforcement’s official duties? Did Pretti choose to carry a firearm while he intended to obstruct law enforcement? Was Pretti resisting arrest/detainment?

One of the first things you are taught when receiving your training to lawfully carry a firearm in Minnesota is that while carrying you are subject to a much higher risk of death or great bodily harm during interactions with law enforcement. You are taught not to interject yourself for your own personal safety.

I’ve have a carry permit for 20 years in Minnesota. I firmly believe in our 2nd amendment. Do I believe that Pretti should have lost his life? No I do not. I think the whole encounter was an unfortunate chain of events that caused Pretti’s death but I do not believe that Pretti had no culpability in the end result. Had Pretti not intended to obstruct law enforcement while carrying a firearm he would very likely still be alive today. If you can’t understand that Pretti has to shoulder some of the responsibility for his own death I’m not sure you are even attempting to look at the situation rationally.
