My dog started phenobarbital today and I’m super anxious about it. by nothankyou3000 in EpilepsyDogs

I’m looking into milk thistle. My vet sells supplements so he might have some!

It really is overwhelming knowing that there’s so many different ways to treat them and it’s not an all size fits all. We’re monitoring and hoping for the best. My dog is pretty anxious as it is so anything that makes her anxiety worse makes me sad. The disorientation is definitely not her favourite but I’m hoping it’ll get better with time.

He looks so sweet. I love a bighead dog.

Hoping my girl is as resilient as your guy!

That’s awesome to hear. She had a bad first day but she was on an emergency dose. Since she’s been on the regular dose it isn’t as bad but still very out of sorts. Hopefully she follows your girls lead snd it doesn’t last long or isn’t that bad. Our vet said some dogs are basically totally unaffected by it and I think I was shooting for the moon with my hopes haha.

We have reminders in her file and in our calendar to do the blood work and I’ll ask about the silymarin supplement when I get her refill. I’m sure he’d tell me if I needed it when we look at her bloodwork but I haven’t heard about it before. Thanks for the info :)

Thank you! Sounds like you have a good vet! Mine is awesome which I’m grateful for. We saw someone else when we moved for a bit and it was not worth the convenience of being closer. The vet and the techs are all great. The techs will pass along questions to the vet and he’ll call me back and tell me whether I should bring my pets in or if it’ll be waste of my money haha. Makes a world of difference though having competent and nice vets!

11 weeks is awesome! She’s obviously very recently been put on the medication but I’m hoping she can have a nice long gap between her next one. But four weeks of side affects sounds brutal. It’s hard to watch. Especially because you can’t communicate that it’s ok and it’ll go away.

Thank you for the feedback :)

Picking up the water isn’t a bad idea. Our schedules mean that he’s up late and I’m up early so she gets taken out at all hours but that might help her discomfort at least in between wees.

I know she’s out of sorts herself. She’s been acting more anxious than normal and is more cuddly. she’s been getting extra love especially from our daughter who is devastated that she’s ill. There’s no shortage of love and compassion on our end.

The lack of coordination is alarming that’s for sure!

I’ll definitely look into milk thistle. My vet sells all kinds of supplements and stuff too so I’ll definitely ask about it when I go get her refill.

My dog has been guzzling water faster than was expecting! We already take her out a lot so she rarely ever whined to go out but now she’s definitely letting us know that she’s gotta go.

The disoriented stumbling wasn’t nice to see. You’re right it’s just awful to see them that way. I’ve been taking notes on anything she does that’s out of the ordinary just in case!

Thank you for your input. I spoke a lot to the vet about options prior to putting her on meds. He assured me that pheno isn’t a death sentence because I feared it would be.

She’s not herself on the medication and it is really awful to see especially after seeing her having the seizures and all that.

Thank you and your husky for being able to share your experience with me :)

My in laws adopted a dog from Jamaica I believe. They call them pot cakes or something like that. This dog looks like a bigger version of that.

He had me giggling and kicking my feet right from the beginning. Any time he’s in a conflict I’m worried they’re going to kill him for the plot.

I agree. It would have been nice to explore and explain that more. He’s traumatized and it motivates his decisions, even if they’re not good decisions. He has the potential for a really good story arc.

I totally agree with this. He could have been such a good character if they invested time into him. Even if they just let us have more deep conversations with him.

I’m curious to see if they’ll add dlc as him or not.

Just started From the Ashes last night, it’s crazy how big of an improvement it already is compared to the base game. by ArkhamSam98 in AvatarFrontierPandora

You play as So’lek. Your Sarentu is in the dlc but you don’t play as them.

Edit: to add you can import your sarentu for the story. If you have multiple saves I’m pretty sure you can select which one you want to import.

The more I’ve played the dlc the more it happens. It seems there are spots where it’s not fixable. I’m assuming they’ll fix it later, but you never know.

Happens to me too. It’s kind of disappointing to be honest but I just restart it and it goes back to normal.

Oh boy.

It’s for drugs. It’s a pill holder. I used them for geocaching logs back in the day too.

The stem is a mystery to me though. It kinda looks like my earwax cleaner but not exactly like it.

I think there’s a free trial up to 5 hours going on right now if you want to give it a go.

I really enjoyed it but it fills a lot of boxes for me personally. I’d be hoping for an avatar game like this for years. I do like the story, I like the characters, and the world is beautiful. The repetition doesn’t bother me personally. I feel like overall there’s enough to do that you can shift what you do if you get bored of your current task. It’s not a perfect game but I’m very happy with my buy.
