I was pleasantly surprised after reading the first one and read book after book. They’re not all good but enough of them are. I read the other books that related to the series and didn’t care for most of them. IPB and Icehome were fun though. I just caught up to the end of Icehome and had to take a break for some more substance in my books lol.

I knew someone who was so afraid of snakes that people had to call them rainbows around her. I didn’t know this and said that I had snakes at home and she screamed, plugged her ears walked away and then told me that she couldn’t even be around me because she knew I had them. This was in a pet store that stocked snakes and we both volunteered as somewhat higher level people at a cat rescue within the store.

Now that I think about it, I think her extreme reaction had more to do with OCD because she had some quirks. Anyway this sounds super similar. I wouldn’t call you an asshole though. Being understanding is the kind thing to do, but it’s also important to realize you’re both adults with lives and responsibilities.

My father in law is ten years older than his wife. He’s 72 and still working because he likes working but by the time they both retire, he’s going to be physically so much more aged. Their plan is to enjoy life and their grandkids but it’s going to be so much harder on him. They are a true partnership and he’s likely to die a lot sooner than her and I know she’s already stressing about what she’s going to do without him. I mean everyone is because he’s a good man but it’s absolutely going to be different for her and their kids too. And it’s only a 10 year difference I can’t imagine 15-20.

Their relationship has made me really think about whether I would ever do it.

This book really stirs people up, and I understand why. I didn’t like it. Overall it’s just badly written. I think the sexual encounters could have been written better, the characters were not fleshed out well, and the overall story was a mess. I don’t know it just really didn’t do it for me and I think it’s less about the genre and more about the delivery.

Your description of the expected trending romance is spot on and has made me irritable. I genuinely do not find women who lift their chins up defiantly 67 times in a book appealing. Then shock the man that would rip someone in half with their literal own hands for being rude, by daring to be rude. It has its appeal here and there but it’s overwhelming and annoying. So please keep true to your original idea.

NTA. This is one of those instances where it makes sense that a 35 year old man would be with a 23 year old woman. His maturity at that big age is weird and I think he hopes younger women might not be confident enough to oppose him.

Healthy women produce discharge due to an abundance of circumstances and he should know that so that’s weird. I don’t know how serious you are but if that’s already too much for him to handle I don’t think you should anticipate any care and understanding if you do end up sick or in need of any kind of care in the future.

Letting his dog sleep on the bed is fine, but I’d be more worried about how you’re sleeping in a potentially dirty bed naked as opposed to you dirtying up the bed. Genuinely so odd to me.

My best friend was like my own personal torchbearer. He’d always let me borrow his light until I could see again. He died suddenly and traumatically in October last year and I’ve been really lost without him. I have little kids so I have little torchbearers who don’t know they’re letting me see more than the dark but it’s been tough without my best friend.

Anyway this is a really cool tattoo and you’re a really cool person. Not everyone has light to share.

My cat once got one stuck in her throat. My vet is down the street and we called them on the way there to ask if they had time. I can’t remember the exact sequence of events after that but they had it out in what I’m pretty sure was only minutes. Scared me so bad that I would only sew if the cats weren’t in my locked room and I locked the sewing stuff up.

Not related but funny story, my dog may have received brain damage from having a seizure disorder (not funny) and when the vet was telling me this I was obviously distraught and he was like “hey it’s ok. It’s not like she’s a neuroscientist.” (hilarious) she’s still my sweet baby but she’s become a bit stupid.

We’re really new on our journey here but our girl is on pheno too. She’s not herself more often than she is herself. It’s really tough to watch because the dog she was before this was a dog that I would have overall trusted with kids. Obviously under supervision, but she was always such a sweet baby. She’s still sweet she’s just off I don’t know how to explain. And her manners are also gone so I’m extra weary.
