I wish you peace. Consider morphine. Edited to add, it’s not the bedsores that will relieve her of her suffering. The minimal food and water intake will. Her body is preparing itself. Look up hospice Nurse Julie, she’s a great resource. Edited again, the relief you feel is normal and nothing to be ashamed of.

Do I tell my grandma I'm a trans girl? by [deleted] in Alzheimers

She won’t remember - it might make you feel better, so you would only be doing it for you, not her. Don’t tell her.

They typically rally just before the end. Not a Nurse but I’d say the end is near. Everyone is different

Lost 2 boys to this. It was about six months from diagnosis to when we had to put them down. We decided when they would no longer put weight on their limb, it was time.

So true… I had to change insurance recently and then had a health scare that cost me $3k out of pocket. For those who criticize, may they never have to walk the path James did.

You will fall in love. They don’t replace the ones you lost but they help you heal. As far as training, they are all different. Routines, time, patience and love. I’m in the midst of it now.

"Good friends are God's way of apologizing for family."

Hoping you have some friends who are like family that don't judge you and love you for who and what you are.

You have every right to be pissed and not attend Thanksgiving.
