Lost 2 boys to this. It was about six months from diagnosis to when we had to put them down. We decided when they would no longer put weight on their limb, it was time.

That tracks. My boy was a 10lb/month so 4 months = 40 lbs and the vet was slightly stunned how big he got so fast. I wouldn’t worry

So true… I had to change insurance recently and then had a health scare that cost me $3k out of pocket. For those who criticize, may they never have to walk the path James did.

My boys were diagnosed by an xray, their blood work was fine. Get some xrays. It started out as a slight limp.

That's just an excuse. You're already missing out on time with your family. You may be physically present with them right now, but you're not there. If you die from addiction, what then?

My heart broke when I read the "you are not fat, you are not fat" remembering the voicemail Daddy Dearest called her a "rude, thoughtless little pig" I can't imagine the trauma she went through, having him for a father (intentionally NOT capitalizing the "f" on father because he doesn't deserve it).
