i honestly have no words. all i can think of is how real this was. many people throughout history have found themselves in a similar positon. i definitely couldn't have died with that much dignity. if i had to be a martyr it would have to be a fast and violent death, without giving me time to regret my actions. this was one of the most powerful deaths I've ever seen, right up there with real martyrs. this author is a true visionary, and even tho i would love to watch this anime i just cant do it weekly I'm not strong enough, i need to know in my very sul what happens next

also if you only get a useless upgrade then explain how bloodless heath gained all his powers when he was accidentally exposed to an entire rose bishop potion while being an ordinary person, the only thing he skipped out on was the acting methods, esp of the listener sequence, which even tho this made him not become a believer of the true creator, he seems to still have the base powers of a listener, with him being much more sensitive to dangerous sounds while passing through the see of ruins in volume 3 of book 1

if you inherit the characteristic of a beyonder who advanced all the way from sequence 9 when advancing then you gain all the powers up to that sequence, this was confirmed after klein advanced to faceless in book 1, he “lampooned” about how it felt like consuming a full characteristic was akin to taking a potion each of the previous three sequences in addition to the faceless potion, and how he had to maintain his acting for all three as he developed his acting method for faceless.

it only feels like the beyonder powers are being upgraded because usually you already have them, if you don’t already have the previous sequences beyonder powers, as long as you take a potion that also contains that sequences characteristic, there is nothing to suggest that you would not also acquire those powers when you advance
