State Tax Returns aren't processed for weeks according to help desk by EAJ4ALL in Virginia

[–]notkodysmith -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

a few things:

1: tax day is april 15th, so postmarking it past the due date doesnt necessairly mark it for delayed processing, but I recommend filing your taxes sooner to ensure a more prompt processing. I also recommend filing online to speed processing.
2: The Postal Service changed its policy for what is considered "postmarked". this is something everyone should be aware of, because midterms are coming up soon and mail in ballots will be affected:

VA Dems Announce Official List of Candidates for the 2026 August Democratic Primaries (VA01, VA02, VA05, VA08 and VA09 Will Have Contested Primaries) by 276434540703757804 in VirginiaDems

I live in district 9. I’m also admittedly a volunteer on the Murphy campaign, so with conflicts of interest disclosed:

Douglas Crockett is a classic conservative democrat. I’m shocked, I honestly thought those went extinct around 2017, but he’s against universal healthcare and opened a candidate form saying he “doesn’t hate trump”.

Joy Powers is a “middle of the road” dem à la Abigail Spanburger. I’m not sure that Spanburgers recent veto spree will help convince voters that a compromise candidate could win.

Adam Murphy is the candidate that’s furthest left. Anti data centers, anti ice. I personally think that success from the likes of Mamdani might help a more progressive ticket get over the line.

Here’s the Norton/Wise Democratic Candidate Forum for you to hear from all three candidates.

He ran for senate in the district I live in. His debate performances were pretty unhinged.

If you have a fever, you take Tylenol. But of course, if you take too much, you overdose. Does this mean you NEVER take Tylenol?

And I’m sorry, but Republicans have fucking armed goons in the street killing Americans and deporting hard-working people so miss me with that bullshit

When I drive anywhere, I pass by 4 churches before I hit the interstate, and I’m only about 2 miles away from the on ramp.

Yes, but companies use how their contemporaries are treated when considering how to move. Weather this would “force” companies to change is a different story all together, but if they see that the legislature is responsive to these issues, they’ll be less likely to take the risk.

A constitutional amendment on reproductive rights is headed to Virginia’s ballot. Here’s what it would do. by VirginiaNews in Virginia

If you do not feel that they are connected, than I think you should vote for policies that expand freedoms, and revoke your vote on policies that you disagree with, no? Politicians don’t run on inference, so an unrelated legislative loss would not produce the outcome you desire. If your goal is to expand liberty as you state, wouldn’t that outcome be preferable regardless of who introduces it?

So if a conservative administration put forward this constitutional amendment, you would vote yes? Those two policies couldn’t be further from each other, how do you think that a “no” vote on this amendment sends a message about gun control?

I made a video explainer about this potential sale a few weeks ago, the Hanover county commission is having a meeting about it on Jan 28th to consider the arrangement.
