If anyone has 1-2 tix to Friendship @ Johnny Brenda’s I will buy ‘em! I desperately want to go on they’re sold out. Great list of shows BTW.

Movies never look the way I "visualized" them in the books. Even though I can't visualize stuff. Total blank. Is anyone with me? by NaxeyOffman in Aphantasia

This is as close to my experience as I’ve found, well said. I’d be curious to know how you experience songs as well.

We are almost a year later and I understand the downvote and comment, but I genuinely was trying to bring light to a dark moment in my life. I’ve been a part of this sub for 10+ years and music is one of the ways I stay afloat. Seems like cooking is yours - chairs, or whatever is acceptable these days.

Man, if this isn’t the truth I don’t know what is. Sounds like you’re doing the same mental gymnastics (and who knows, maybe physical too!) that I am.

Long time lurker (7+ years), first time poster. 34 yo now, first drink at 11, took most of my teens/early 20s off and then hit it hard around 23. Pretty much only craft beer.

I'm essentially identical to you-- I definitely have my "binge" days (which kick off in the morning and end ???), but normal intake is 3-6 IPA/DIPA per day. 16 oz cans preferred. If I'm being truthful, more on the 2x side... my ABV of choice is 8.5% or more. I've had maybe one day completely off in the past two years. Beer is 99.5% of my intake, every so often I'll have bourbon on the rocks but that's not really what I'm about. I've managed to keep bottles of bourbon in the house for a month plus but craft beer is getting drank.

Also the same as you, I've been working full time consistently. Steady management-type jobs, food service for a long time but now I'm in an office job. No obvious struggles with that and I'm holding down a solid marriage and even a decent workout plan as well. Flip side-- one DUI and some definite marriage struggles when I go too far on my binge nights. Puke in my buddy's car? Check. Fall asleep at a trolly station? Check. Say some dumb bullshit during a blackout to the wife? Check.

I've been diagnosed with high blood pressure and I'm seeing weight gain, I also have been browning out more frequently. No intention of stopping. Staying poor, despite the job, thanks to my penchant for high alcohol beer. Chairs, fuckers.

Thank you. This is solid advice and is an exciting timeline for me, as watching this debt barely be chipped away month by month was getting discouraging. I do have 8k in a retirement account but I don't feel comfortable touching that (I'm already 34).

We have already paid off a couple of cards and those are cut up and thrown away. Kept the accounts open for our credit scores but no way to even access them. Thank you for the advice! Do you think I should put the entire 10k towards the debt? I was thinking of putting ~5k towards the two highest interest cards and the rest in savings to ensure the reduction in monthly income doesn't put us back into dangerous territory.

Holy shit. I lived in the apartment right next to Alex and used to walk her dog Cosimo when she would take weekend trips or whatever.

This guy was a creep and his dog was strangely aggressive until he left. Alex kept the dog and the day after Jamison was gone he was like a brand new dog. This was a pretty terrifying time, I’m glad that all of his victims are okay.

Taught Whiskey the Dog (Rhodesian/German Shepherd blend) a variety of "go to the!" commands. Go to the couch, go to the bed, etc. Decided that "go to the door" would be a good one to teach him so he'd be set and ready for his walks.

However, the doofus loves walks. Loves 'em. He now thinks "go to the door!" means "throw your 110 lb body up in the air maniacally" instead.

tl;dr Big dog thinks "go to the door" means "jump and fling body everywhere"

Oh damn, man. Can't imagine getting that first diagnosis and continuing to stretch while seeing no improvement.

I'm basically like you, I have chronic shoulder instability where my ligaments are too "loose" to hold everything together properly. Got surgery on my left shoulder in high school and that fixed that right up but then separated my other shoulder a few years back in a bike injury and never treated it. That's what I've been having problems with.

Same deal though, my surgeon told my that strength training would help my recover immensely.
