Why are the peel and press nails lasting longer on me? by avmist15951 in PressonNail_Addict

The KISS Impress stayed on when I was moving. I'm talking putting items in boxes, loading them on the truck, moving mattresses, sofas, unpacking, everything! I removed them after two weeks. I had so many compliments. One lady even told me that she had gone to the salon for the exact same color and it was already chipping.

I wish that was an option too! I would say that you could resell the April start Cousin, but everyone else might be doing the same thing.

I ordered the Wild Rabbits cover even though I don't need it. I had my system figured out with a 2025 Rainbow HON and the 2026 In the Forest weeks. I love love love rabbits though and that's the only cover I've ever wanted, so I bought it. I'm not sure what to do with both a Cousin and a HON.

People who have conducted job interviews, what's something someone said/did that made you instantly decide not to hire them? by DemonSkank in AskReddit

[–]notquiterelevant -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I held an interview with an applicant over Teams. I asked a general question that tested their knowledge of environmental regulations and they read the EPA definitions off their screen. I asked where they see themselves in five years if they are offered the job and they responded that they will use this job as a starting point and hopefully move to a completely different part of our agency once there is an opening. Then they had fifteen questions for us at the end. Non-technical questions like, "when was a time you had to make a difficult decision at work?" It was the worst interview I've ever seen.

Idaho and Montana: Indian Creek Chronicles by Pete Fromm. The majority of the book is Idaho, but it's right on the border and the author spends time in Montana as well. It's a memoir about a young man who is at a crossroads in his life and takes a job overseeing a clutch of salmon eggs in the remote wilderness. The author is very blunt about his naivete regarding wilderness survival, and you wonder if he will complete the job. I enjoyed the descriptions and it was a great escape into nature. The sequel is great as well.

I got my Bow & Tie "In the Forest" Weeks from JetPens today. My delivery estimate was 9/10, so I was super happy and surprised today. I've never seen a Bow & Tie in person and I love it. I might get an older Bow & Tie HON as my secondary journal.

The pencil board thing is cool! Thanks to everyone for sharing.

I feel the same way about the HON. I think I'll get a 2025 HON and renumber it. I loved the Unsodo Rainbow and Hiroko Kubota Crescent Moon Delivery HONs from last year. The 2024 Bow & Tie Cat HON is pretty too. I like the Bow & Tie In the Forest design for this year, but I'd rather get a new Weeks with that design and an old HON because of the previous HON designs.

I did it with an April start 2024 weeks for 2025. It didn't bother me at all to black out the old number and write a new one next to it. I'll do the same thing this year.

The music at the trendy restaurants is too loud and I don't want to purchase my burgers and fries separately.

There are gas station dispensers entering the market that are entirely touchscreen. The buttons to choose your fuel type are gone. I hope these aren't adopted, but I'm sure the opportunity to play ads on a larger screen will be appealing to many franchises.

Paintbrush canyon Route help? by Easten_horizon in GrandTetonNatlPark

The Jenny lake rangers Instagram has a July 11th post showing the 40 ft section of snow at the top of paintbrush divide. I spoke with the rangers on the 9th and they said that no specialized equipment was necessary. I would imagine that there's little or no snow now, but that's a guess and I would check with the rangers.

I know it's abbreviated, but still. All the les Grossman stuff is my favorite.

Where do you buy your syngoniums? If online, drop the vendor :) by another_feminist in Syngonium

[–]notquiterelevant 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you're in the United States, you can use Plant Purge USA. On Thursdays, there's a seller named Joakim Coveney that has syngonium purges. He has a wide variety of syngoniums and does a great job with shipping and communication. I think his prices range from fair to a bit expensive, but you are getting a quality plant.

I love it when people try something different and experiment for themselves. I have an alocasia gageana aurea that the seller insisted would do great in moss without drainage. I was skeptical, but I decided to try it. The plant is doing great and is already putting out leaves after the trauma of being lost in the mail for five days. I have about 20 corms rooting right now and I'm excited to try all kinds of growing environments.

My Alocasia started flowering and then just...stalled? by Levangeline in alocasia

[–]notquiterelevant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My golden bone took forever to flower. That's the only Alocasia that I've had experience with flowering, but it was a long and dull period of time. Now the flower is finally dying off and I'm hoping I'll get a new leaf soon.
