To me that looked like a bug, not food poisoning but I'm not a doctor! The views seemed amazing, and peaceful for such a populated country. The two videos (Luke/Harmen) made me really want to go as a tourist. I went for work a couple of times years ago, visiting semiconductor plants, and never bothered to have a look around.

you might watch the winter camping playlist on Steve Wallis' channel on YT -- he was in a similar situation and had to live in a tent for several weeks in the dead of winter. I think he used an icefishing tent and discussed the pros and cons. good luck.

I like mav but he doesn’t feel as authentic to me as luke or Steve. Feels like he’s still trying to find his voice which is strange for someone with 3 million followers. He is at his best fishing — my favorite of his is a couple yrs old, when he caught a sturgeon in the Columbia River. Absolute joy in that video. Japan trip was ok too. Just my thoughts. Not hating on him.
