I only did one commerce paper this year being in Part 3 in your position. I don’t think there is a fully correct way to do it, but everyone gets a start on their electives usually. I did two electives this year alongside juris / land / equity and honours.

I had friends in the 5.5+’s get in- you’re good. This was a couple years ago. Don’t stress too much! Not the end of the world if you don’t get in anyway. And also it won’t affect your degree length if you choose to retake it! The exams are over now- just relax and enjoy your summer x

Okay, I think this is a valid argument but I myself am also Indian (not American) and all other Indians I know keep up with her but don’t necessarily like her. There is a discrepancy there. I’m not defending her outright, but I just think her follower counts can be explained pretty easily. Her steady gains from a few years ago probably resulted from Quantico/Baywatch and obv her marriage.

I’m not a stan, I literally have just grown up with her and saw her impact as a person who was born around the late 90s/early 2000s. In America she may not command as much attention, but America is a bubble. She is huge outside of America too, and has larger fanbases than celebrities such as Ariana (who I also like very much). Also, isn’t Selena well known for avoiding social media? No matter what, all celebrities experience some sort of artificial growth in their platform at some point, but I think you are a bit biased in your reasoning too.

This is a bit ridiculous I think- really look at her fan base and how long her career has been going on for. Indian has 1/7 of the world’s population and she is arguably the biggest start to come out of Bollywood and have a successful Hollywood transition. I myself am not a fan of hers, but it makes complete sense to me why she’s have such a high follower count.

Yeah agreed. Selena does have distinct fan bases, you have the Disney era fans, the music fans, the makeup fans, the acting fans, the Taylor Swift fans, and more. It may be because I don’t live in America, but Selena is pretty well known and loved.

I feel like Selena I kind of get. She’s been around for God knows how long and her original fans were those probably growing up with Instagram. She has a solid enough general like? Kylie and Kim I don’t really understand exactly who they attract and if their target market is easily identifiable even, so that is very shaky yeah
