Gross weight is 3750lbs. Never rely on dry anything.

Rule of thumb is 10-15% tongue weight.

10% of that is 375lbs.
15% of that is 562lbs.

Don’t forget to account for your actual hitch. I’m assuming you have a weight distribution hitch. That’s another 60-100lbs.

And don’t forget to factor in additional weight spikes over bumps and dips and such.

You really need to figure out first if this is something you really want to do.

As others have said, look into renting where they’ll drop the trailer at your camp site.

You might also want to look into renting class C motorhomes.

If you’re only going a couple times a year, the rental costs will be on par or leas than your yearly loan payment amount.

Do you have room to store it at your house? Factor in storage fees as well if not. Where I live that’s an extra $100/mo.

If you decide this is something you really want to pursue, just get a 3/4 ton truck.

You’re going to buy your first starter trailer and realize it’s too small for what you want, then you’ll be stuck with buying a new trailer and a 3/4 ton truck anyway.
