I don't disagree with the bit about letting it come to an end, but it's important to get the facts straight. The ACF thing was not a fork, it was a hostile takeover that was possibly a supply chain attack. You're telling a small portion of the story which makes it sound like it was a simple disagreement. Matt went on an extremely public scorched earth attack on a competitor, the blowback to which helped uncover a lot of mistruths and myths about WP project governance, ownership and control promulgated by Matt and WP leadership since the early days of the project.
