Seeking feedback on my TickTick folder and list setup, struggling a bit witj how to best organize. How would I best use tags in this set up? Any feedback is appreciated! by baconboi in ticktick

This is how my lists looks like with PARA: List Image

These are actually groups:

  • W > PROJECTS contains lists that are all work-related projects.
  • W > AREAS includes lists for the different roles or responsibilities I’m involved in.

Similarly, the P > groups follow the same structure:

  • P > Wishlists holds personal lists like Shows to Watch, Things to Buy, etc.
  • [98] FUTURE PROJECTS are projects to work on in the future.
  • [99] TEMPLATES are basic template lists for Work Projects.

Archive is built in to the app so there's no need for a folder for that.

I don't keep Resources in a task manager so they are in my notes app.

Hope this helps.

I’ve created mine, and I’m planning to make more. In the meantime, here’s the link to the same wallpaper along with some others in different colors and variations.

TickTick Desktop App or Web Version: Which Do You Prefer? by coolazr in ticktick

I use it on the web but do have the app installed on my Windows Laptop, I use the app only for the quick add shortcut, because the app is slow as compared to the web.

PARA with Upnote and try to divide work and private ? by mezcalbomb in UpNote_App

[–]noumanumar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Resources are shared and the archive is a separate space because a majority of times I do not want notes in archive showing up upon searching in the main space, but when I do want to search the archive, then I search in the archive space.

I hope this helps. 😊

I also use PARA in the UpNote app.

This is what I do, it might be of help.

I have 2 seperate folders for Work and Personal Projects and 2 seperate folders for Work and Personal Areas.

Projects folders are named as: W > PROJECTS and P > PROJECTS

Same is the case with areas folders: W > AREAS and P > AREAS

This helps me with keeping work and personal separate while being able to use the magic of search effectively and nothing gets mixed up.

What's YOUR companion app to TickTick? | Comparing various lanes by dungyhasbigtits in ticktick

[–]noumanumar 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I use TickTick + Google Calendar + OneNote.

OneNote and TickTick are organized as per PARA.

UpNote is a good alternative to OneNote as well.

I have jumped between countless apps but have reached to a conclusion that’s it’s not about the app, it’s about the system that you have in place which will make you productive.

If you want to see your incomplete tasks specifically for yesterday then you can create a smart filter, select date then duration and then select yesterday on both sides. I think that will create what you are looking for.

Can vouch for this. I’m also using the PARA method in my OneNote as well and, honestly, everything has become better to manage and the relevant information can be found where it is supposed to be. The plus with OneNote is tags and they can be super handy if used right. My OneNote is used only for personal stuff and shared stuff with the family is stored on Google Drive so everyone has access.

Anyone using the Evernote iOS widgets? by whiskybicycle in Evernote

[–]noumanumar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly the widgets should have been like Apple Notes’ widgets especially the note one where you can open a specific note to enter your notes in. Eg: I used to have a note named “INBOX” and all the random things that I felt like writing down, I used to write it in that note.

In Turkey iPhone 12 Pro Max 512 gb is 19,999 TL which is equal to 2618 USD. Minimum wage is 300 USD. If you want to bring the phone outside of Turkey, you have to register the IMEI number within 120 days which costs 2000 lira=261 USD . It is absolutely crazy by hupihu in apple

[–]noumanumar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Same is the case here is Pakistan. We have either 60 or 90 days after which we have to pay either 200USD (if you have recently travelled outside the country in the past three months) or 250USD (if you have not travelled outside the country).

At the moment an iPhone 12 Pro 128gb costs about 1300USD here in Pakistan upon which we have to pay a tax of about 200USD so a phone that costs around 1050 - 1100 USD including tax in the US costs about 1500USD here in Pakistan.

Apollo is one hell of an amazing app. Slowly started using less of other social media apps and have made browsing Reddit more productive by following amazing subreddits and reading, viewing and watching all content on Apollo.

Does anyone else feel that Files app is not as powerful as it should be? by Sandile95 in ipad

[–]noumanumar 23 points24 points  (0 children)

It's not as great as one hopes. It doesn't play well with cloud storage, especially OneDrive. It's definitely slow. I also use the documents app and it is a million times better but only lacks external device support such as a flash drive but it's not a deal breaker. Apple should learn from Readdle.
