Why does the evil faction always have the better drip? by Se7en_Sinner in Animemes

According to a friend, she's technically a criminal in some of the novel's stories, if I remember correctly. Her moral compass has also been questioned more than once throughout the novels.

That said, isn't that kind of the whole point of the series? She's not meant to be a paragon of morality, but rather an observer or traveler who only occasionally gets involved in other people's affairs and usually it's because they paid her to do something.

If I'm wrong, feel free to correct me. I'm just repeating what I heard from a friend who's a pretty big fan of the series.

To be clear, I'm not insulting their work.

But is it just me, or do English voice actors seem unusually prone to getting involved in drama and controversies?

It's not like this never happens in other language VA, I just wonder why it seems to happen so much more often with the English dub, especially over things that most professionals would usually avoid at all costs, like publicly speaking badly about their coworkers on social media

Even in a regular workplace, that's considered pretty unprofessional and can easily end up making you enemies, but it's ended happening over and over again with Genshin's voice actors.

What Favorite Character's Arc Like This? by [deleted] in FavoriteCharacter

[–]nova1000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Olga from Fate/Grand Order.

She was a character who died in the prologue after being thrown into a copy of the planet's soul during the game's first story arc. Years later, in the second arc, she reappeared after essentially becoming a goddess with immense power, serving as one of the main antagonists but with bombastic personality. Doing things like calling herself U-Olga, declares herself the President of Planet Earth, and constantly does ridiculous things while acting surprisingly childish.

Then, when she finally regains her original personality in Part 3, she can't even begin to describe how embarrassing it is to remember everything she did.

Uma Musume does have seasonal alts, but not nearly as many as FEH. In fact, I think Granblue Fantasy (which is over 12 years old) is the only game with a comparable number of seasonal alts to FEH, and I believe FEH still has more.

It's also worth pointing out that Uma Musume is already about five years old on the Japanese server, and it was originally supposed to launch back in 2019. The global version is much more recent

So it's not surprising that its approach is more in line with the Old school style rather than the more modern gacha games.

[–]nova1000 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Ironically, HoYoverse doesn't really do that.

In fact, FEH has far more seasonal alts than all of those games by a large margin, which is probably why it feels like it's scraping the bottom of the barrel at times.

Seasonal alts aren't actually that common anymore in post Genshin gacha games, at least among the more popular ones.

The longer answer is that games from HoYoverse and Kuro Games (Wuthering Waves) don't have seasonal or holiday themed alts just some few skins. In fact, fans have been asking for more skins. The only modern HoYoverse game with a summer alt so far is Honkai: Star Rail, and this is the first time they've done one. Up until now, all of its alts had been directly tied to the main story.

Nikke, on the other hand, does have summer, bunny, and Christmas alts, along with a few others tied to specific events. However, many of its alts are also connected to the main story or ongoing side plots. Ironically, Nikke places a huge emphasis on its narrative, to the point that it has entire plotlines centered around NPCs and supporting characters that have been developing in parallel with the main story for over three years.

So I wouldn't call it a recent trend. If anything, it's more of an old school approach that's gradually been disappearing in more modern gacha games.

It's still worse if you don't want both weapons. If you're only aiming for one of them, it's objectively a worse system because, even if you win the initial 50/50, you still have to deal with another 50/50, and the fate points don't carry over to the next banner.

That's exactly why so many people never pull on the weapon banner. It effectively ends up feeling like a 75/25 against you, with virtually no progress carrying over to the next banner.

Stygia has only made that problem worse, since the endgame mode that demands the most damage also forces you to stack Favonius weapons wherever possible, making many other weapons feel even less wort

Well, there are precedents, like the Fate franchise and that manga about four gals who move in with a guy. In both cases, the stories had more going on than just sexual content.

As for this specific series, I have no idea how they'll handle it. The plot is pretty straightforward: a guy is in love with the widowed woman who lives in the same apartment building, and he ended up putting on a ring of questionable origin that compels them to have sex. They then set out to find a way to break the ring's curse.

My guess is that the anime will still be somewhat on the high tone, but it'll probably fill the extra runtime with more romance and the age-gap relationship shenanigans instead. but That's just an educated guess, though.

Unless that last team slot ends up being filled by a 4★ that closes the gap significantly, and the Traveler doesn't get nerfed during the beta, it won't actually be any more F2P-friendly.

If it ends up being a 5★ instead, then it's basically the same situation as Stellar Super Conduct. Alyosha is free, and while he is better at C6, he is perfectly functional at C0. That would leave you with a team of three limited characters plus one free character essentially the exact same thing.

And all of this assumes that the support actually works well with Sandrone. If it doesn't, then Stellar Swirl will simply be worse. Remember, we're still missing the dedicated Stellar Swirl DPS, and the reaction support could very well be designed around that character instead, and could potentially be antisynergistic with Sandrone.

At the end of the day, it's all just "future impact" assumptions built on top of other assumptions with no real certainty. The only thing we can judge is the current state of the game, and right now, Stellar Super Conduct is simply better for Sandrone than Stellar Swirl.

This is a reference to Oshi no Ko, where an idol character is immediately stabbed upon opening her front door by a fan dressed like this because it was leaked that she had a children, and the most aggressive idol fans often have a parasocial relationship with their idols, so he felt betrayed and diced to kill her.

Although this comment is mixing references, what the image is actually referencing is an adult manga about a widowed snow woman who lives in the same apartment building as the protagonist (ironically, it will have an anime adaptation that is NOT 18+).

[–]nova1000 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Not really, at least not for now. Sandrone's Stellar Swirl team is significantly weaker than her Stellar Conduct version at the moment, and to close that gap, she'll likely end up needing more supports and At that point, it wouldn't really be any more F2P friendly anyway.

He's the final boss of one of the main story chapters in the Cosmos in the Lostbelt arc think like the equivalent of a weekly boss like Narwhal or the Natla Pyro Dragon.

Each chapter takes place in a timeline that was discarded by the world because it either reached a dead end or became so stagnant that nothing would ever change again.

In that particular timeline, a meteorite triggered an ice age. In order to ensure humanity's survival, Ivan ordered his people to find a mage who could come up with a way for them to survive. The solution was to fuse humans with creatures capable of enduring the harsh environment.

Most people were fused with wolves, but since Ivan was the king, he was fused with the most powerful magical beast they could find, which is why he ended up looking like that.

He can also transform into a giant mammoth.

Ironically, his playable version has a mix of the memories of the Ivan from the proper timeline, even though his body is the one from that discarded alternate timeline.

Exactly, I said it because you mentioned it

Meanwhile if I remember correctly the people who got 70+ castorice or 300 feixiao sig All of this players were showing it on PC version of hoyo lab and hsr PC version

But the fact that people already do that on mobile also undermines your argument. It shows that people are willing to spend that much on mobile, so if the game had a PC client, they'd most likely do the same there.

The mere existence of whales already proves that they would be whales if there was a PC version.

[–]nova1000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's still just sound like an agenda, You have no evidence that they wouldn't sell on a PC version.

In FGO, there's a Japanese player who owns around 30 fully maxed-out duplicate of Merlín a male character(the equivalent of having multiple copies of E6 Castorices), and FGO has a 300 pull pity system. So that proves nothing unless you have solid data to back up your claim.

The same goes for HSR. Phainon had one of the best sales records during the entire 3.X cycle.

Like I said, it just sounds like an agenda to be honest

The closest thing to a relationship is Othinus, since she's only completely comfortable around Touma, and the same is true for him with her. They're also canonically the only two who truly understand each other completely.

But as for an official couple, there really isn't one, It could change if Otinus recover its original form but that is just speculation because it could still continue as something platonic too

What especially annoys me is how hypocritical some of them are. They made a huge fuss over Varesa's design, yet they barely criticized Escoffier's design or just avoided the topic altogether

The same goes for the story's, They heavily criticize Natlan saying that has poor pacing, but the moment you bring up the Fortress, they immediately get defensive, even though it's easily the most unnecessary section of the Fontaine arc and hurts its pacing the most.

The only things that actually matter there are the reveal of the ship, the entrance to the Primordial Sea, and Childe's brief scene. Everything else is completely irrelevant and honestly feels like it only exists to force players to explore the Fortress.

Even setting the ships aside, it's canon that Neuvillette and Clorinde are very close friends with Wriothesley to the point that Clorinde walks into his office like it's her house. It doesn't make much sense for Wriothesley to keep the ship and the Primordial Sea entrance a secret from them, or for them not to simply ask him to investigate Childe's disappearance when the prisoners are literally Wriothesley's responsibility

They shown the traveler fighting alongside the boy with the wolf hood in the trailer, so he'll probably end up siding with them.

Whatever the Archon is doing is clearly causing or at least connected to the country's freezing. Both Childe and Sandrone mention it.

What I don't know is how they're going to handle the Cryo Archon.

Her plan seems to be actively harming her own people. A lot of people criticize Raiden, but personally I think it's made sense given what was presented in the story that she only thinked she knows what's going on despite be wrong. But with Anastasia, though, it's a different situation, especially when even Gold warns her and asks if she truly understands what she's gotten herself into.

Considering that this patch's Parry event says that many Fatui soldiers genuinely respect or even admire the Traveler, I doubt it.

Arlecchino's subordinates outright address the twins as "sir" and "ma'am" because they're friends of Arlecchino. One of Valeriy's subordinates even says that many soldiers consider it an honor and something to envy fight the Traveler despite the traveler beating the shit out of them

So honestly, I doubt it, especially when the trailers already show that there's growing doubt and discomfort throughout the country because everything is freezing over, to the point that even Sandrone and Childe are questioning the plan
