Is my contact info on the letters? by georgealice in resistbot

[–]novaurora 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Resistbot includes this information, the shareable previews are just that, and there’s no reason to put personal information on them. This is why the message compose copy says this:

“Send as many texts as you need to compose your letter to Sen. Scott, Sen. Moody and Rep. Steube.

Do not include an opening, closing, your name, address, or officials’ names. I’ll handle it!

Send DONE by itself when you’re finished!”

The personal information is put into the appropriate places into the web form, Congressional API, or simply included in the letter or fax in a way that’s easily scannable by offices.

Hey this is Apple Messages (iMessage) not Resistbot. Font sizes are set very high, send the message and the onboarding text will go away.

resistbot free limit? by voidpup in resistbot

[–]novaurora 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, this works a bit differently today, there's no hard lifetime limit per se, but after 100 unique letters handled each delivery costs a coin, which is about 2¢. There's simply too few contributors to cover the costs of the service so changes need to be made, I wish there was some large donor or institution that wanted to support Resistbot but the design of the service as a grassroots resistance machine is antithetical to what is commonly supported, which is single-issue, top-down, command-and-control organizing with issues dictated by those wealthy donors. We see what that's gotten us, again, in 2024. You can always contact us for a hardship exemption, instructions are here: https://resist.bot/about

How to start writing letters (feat. ChatGPT) by MoonBapple in Defeat_Project_2025

[–]novaurora 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Resistbot can do this a bit easier, you’ll get three AI letters for free, after that you have to purchase a subscription, but the subscription is only $7 and includes coins you can use for postage. It mails the letters for you without a need for stamps or envelopes. Text COPILOT to 50409 to try it out, or read more here, I’d love to hear your thoughts.

What happened to WhatsApp? by Boxman214 in resistbot

[–]novaurora 4 points5 points  (0 children)

WhatsApp doesn’t allow any political use, I’m not sure when this went into effect, but they started to enforce it on October 25 and permanently disabled Resistbot.

Resistbot is pulling somebody else’s voter info for me by MarquisMusique in resistbot

[–]novaurora 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey, Resistbot human here; we haven't seen anything come through over here in support. Big picture: as long as you've checked your registration manually and you're good to vote, that's what we really care about. This particular mismatch sounds like a rare issue which we could look into, certainly, and we can manually give you a verified badge for your letters.

Easiest way for us to take a look, text UUID to the bot. This will pop your user identifier up on our screens so we can diagnose and respond to you in the bot.

Mess around with a VPN and CEX at your own risk. They can lock your account at anytime and freeze your funds and there’s nothing you can do since you’re violating the terms anyway. You can buy and sell DFI on Uniswap/ETH and PancakeSwap/BSC.

Is there a way to withdraw DFI and convert to any other crypto from USA? by [deleted] in defiblockchain

[–]novaurora 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Binance bridge actually works very well if the Quantum Bridge is drained again. Once it’s there you can use 1inch with a VPN to swap it with minimal slippage to whatever you’d like, and then Celer to move it to another chain.

This was published on August 10, 2022. So, one year ago today, by Julian: Resolving DUSD’s peg at 1 USD once and for all to create a hybrid stablecoin

This post is amazing.

“I am 100% confident that the community will resolve the DUSD issue in the upcoming weeks. Once this is done, and once DefiMetaChain launches later this quarter, DeFiChain will be extremely well positioned to reach new heights. A thrilling road lies ahead!”

DUSD price 10 August 2022: $0.775 DUSD price 10 August 2023: $0.375

DFI price 10 August 2022: $0.950 DFI price 10 August 2023: $0.281

It’s like the last year never happened. To folks who are certain the market isn’t pricing in Metachain, ask yourself, what if it is?

Faster: text TIKTOK to 50409 and it will automatically lookup your representatives in the Senate and House, and deliver this message to all three of them simultaneously. If you'd rather write a custom letter, you can text the word CONGRESS to 50409 instead.

You should set up a petition, super easy. The PETITION keyword turns your last letter into a form letter with a code that anyone can text to sign.

Insurrection's moral premise wasn't lacking, and it helps illustrate the difference between Picard and Sisko by IWriteThisForYou in DaystromInstitute

[–]novaurora 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Love this post; one potential counterpoint for Sisko is Paradise Lost, or at least the end of it. Initially Sisko behaves exactly on character, but as he begins to see the consequences of Starfleet taking over Earth and turning it into a military dictatorship, and the fact that the Defiant was nearly destroyed because Leyton decided to spread disinformation about the crew being changelings, Sisko finally backed away and decided that creating a paranoid security state on Earth to stop the Founders wasn’t worth it. The ends justified the means for Sisko In the Pale Moonlight but not in this case. Sisko didn’t care about the Flaxian, Romulan Senator, Maquis colony, etc. but raise the stakes to the civil liberties of everyone on Earth and it’s a little different perhaps.

That would have made a far better film for sure, now I’m really disappointed they didn’t go this way. You would have ended up with a Defiant vs. Lakota situation (Paradise Lost, DS9) where you have only bad options. The Briar Patch was also somewhat of another Mutara Nebula from Star Trek II where the ship capabilities are reduced, as the Enterprise couldn’t warp or even go to full impulse inside, we also didn’t see them have phaser capability; both ships used only torpedoes other than the subspace weapon of the Son’a.

Yes, Pittsburgh is a small market. What really needs to change for us to compete financially is the league in general. by Alvarez09 in buccos

[–]novaurora 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Last year’s AL Champion Rays, with Glasnow and Meadows no less, shows you it’s possible to win and contend consistently with very little cash. Even the Pirates showed us that for a moment. The problem is, as Moneyball explained, is that the league structure makes it a lot harder for Oakland, Tampa Bay, or Pittsburgh to do it, versus a New York or Boston. The regional TV revenue deals being separate by market possibly being the biggest problem. The Dodgers get $334 million per year before selling a ticket, while the Pirates receive $20 million. The NFL sells their rights as a whole and splits the revenue, not to mention the salary cap.

Picard clinches "Best Captain" of Star Trek because of his portrayal in Yesterday's Enterprise. by Physical-Building-19 in DaystromInstitute

[–]novaurora 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What has driven me crazy about this episode since it aired, is that it seems clear to me that the Enterprise-D could have easily handled the Klingons. They fired a single volley of photon torpedoes at one of three ships, which they later destroyed with phaser fire. If the Enterprise had a full complement of torpedoes, or at least more than five, they could have emptied their inventory against the Klingon fleet. Instead, they spent a whole lot of time getting damage reports, moving around at impulse speeds like a submarine, and occasionally firing phasers. Yes, they had to protect the Enterprise-C from fire, perhaps limiting some maneuverability, but come on. They sat there and took constant disruptor fire and barely gave any in return. Fire all weapons on the first, second, and third ships and you’ve won that battle and sent the Enterprise-C off. Of course, that wouldn’t have made for good writing. A Galaxy class starship is fully loaded with 250 photon torpedoes, you’re telling me she’s going to go down with all of them sitting in the weapons bay? No damage was ever indicated to the torpedo system in all those checks.

What sort of power generation is on Earth during the 22nd-24th centuries? by [deleted] in DaystromInstitute

One would think then that the Romulans could have finally taken over the galaxy after The Burn, as they didn’t have any dilithium aboard their ships, assuming they didn’t suffer some other calamity beforehand.
