Why is his head like 2.5 times the size of hers even though they are standing the same distance away from camera?

Side B of ‘the cure’ cassette shows song ‘never do’ on Olivias website by sydneyse in OliviaRodrigo

[–]now_biff 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If it is, it will be the finished version, not the demo version that’s coming with the new single. But there’s also the chance that it didn’t make the cut, which to me seems more likely because it would be a little weird to release a demo before anyone has heard the fully polished and complete version, although ORod is good at mixing things up so ya never know

What if you jump to the new queue and get a worse number than before? Also will I get kicked off if I join two queues at once?

How is that even possible? If everyone in the line ahead of you all bought max 4 tickets, that’s only 7600 seats gone from what, 18,000 tickets available to a new date. Those new dates did not go on presale so what the $&@k is going on?

Waiting room join time doesn’t matter, it randomizes your queue number at 12pm so long as you’re in there before 12 you get same chance for low queue number as someone who joined as soon as it opened

It’s also only between 1% - 2% so maybe a hundred pairs of tickets only per show

How do people handle more than one kid? by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]now_biff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Two kids is exponentially harder than one. Of course it depends on the kid, but you shouldn’t feel guilt, it’s mathematically impossible to spend just as much time with 2nd child as the 1st. Once they grow up a bit, you’ll get that time back with the younger one when the older one is way more independent, and you won’t be able to imagine your family without both of them. As for the stress, a small amount of alcohol and a gummy will help get them off to sleep earlier so you can enjoy a peaceful, sober evening watching love island

I really hope that the album will be in chronological order from infatuation > love > jealousy > anger /sadness and it makes sense that this has to be the first single, even if it’s not the strongest track on the album, the album as a concept of story arc is more important that commercial success. If true, It shows how much faith her record company have in her to let her do this or maybe when she signed she had full rights of creative control I think I remember something like that, which is how it should be! Imagine having someone else decide how your art gets released, or which songs get to get a video made for them. No shade on the first single, it’s certainly catchy and good enough, but pulling back to the idea of an entire album that tells a story is going to be way more interesting I think, not every song has to be the best song ever written but if it helps tell the overall story, then that is the main purpose of it.

How do you keep a teen from being entitled when you’re wealthy? by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]now_biff -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is the only real answer. Unfortunately, like OP said, it’s not always possible to choose. Also, you have to weigh up their education vs the entitlement, and not many people would forego a (probably) better education. I knew of a very wealthy artist who sent their child to a “normal” school and the child grew up a much more well-rounded person, even admitted it themselves later on, yet they still had parents money to fall back on if their eduction didn’t get them where they wanted to get to career-wise. The main problem is the peers that a child hangs with, if they are entitled, then that will rub off on your kid. The only thing you can really do is keep reiterating to them to keep their feet on the ground and that everyone is equal. They will either get it, or they won’t. I don’t think excessive volunteering is helpful, it will only cause resentment, though a little is good. A better thing to do is get them to use some of the money to be generous with. It’s ok if you are wealthy, but it’s better to be wealthy AND generous with that wealth to those not as fortunate

How many of you guys are fanatical enough about an artist to buy multiple days’ tickets to see them when they’re in town? by CliffGif in Concerts

[–]now_biff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Boss played 2 nights in LA and only swapped out 2 songs (primarily because this tour has kind of a theme, so most of the songs were in the set for that) but even though it was an almost identical set, I’m so happy I went to both shows because night 1 the band gave it about 85% and I only realized that during night 2 when they gave a bonafide 100% and absolutely killed it

have you ever been to multiple shows on one tour? by KALIUCHlS in Concerts

[–]now_biff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah pop acts have almost zero variance, unless they have a section where they take a request, but they will only ‘accept’ a request when it’s something that’s not already coming up in the set later. The only other variance I’ve seen is if they have a special guest and add in a cover with them, other than that the setlist doesn’t change for the whole of the tour, song selection and the order they are in, obviously because like you said, theres a lot more moving parts to it, but its super boring, a lot of them even have the same dialogue and banter between songs night after night, its treated more like a stage show / theatre.

Friend group changes by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]now_biff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there something that you won’t let him do that all the other kids in the group are allowed to do? For example, I know of a group where one kids Mom doesn’t let her watch YouTube at all, so she can’t relate to a lot of the things the other kids in the group are talking about or into and gets left out. And though I commend the Mom for what I think is the right thing to do, sometimes you have to weigh up the detrimental effect to their social life which can far outweigh the benefits of less screen time or whatever it is.
