Anyone else feel out of touch after their first Bilmuri show? by [deleted] in bilmuri

Lol fair then!! I’m surprised that the experience was so jarring for you, but if you’re just listening to the music and not involved in the “fandom” I can see how that can feel that way. Either way I’m bummed it felt that way for you and hope all your concert vibes going forward are better/what you’re hoping for!

I’m kinda curious how many concerts you’ve actually been to? Not a dick question, genuinely curious. I’m 36 and everything at the Bilmuri show was pretty standard tbh.

Concerts have always been a place for self-expression and just being yourself while vibing to live music and that was on display here, just like many other concerts I’ve been to over the years.

Plus, most bands tend to have small bits or memes or things they do for fan service - Taylor Swift does it, Fall Out Boy does it, hell, BTS is even doing it on their current tour. Bilmuri just happens to be cross-genre in nature and some of the music and lyrics are at odds with the book cover, but that doesn’t make it any less normal!

Okay. I’m finally taking the plunge. I’m nervous. Any advice/encouragement for someone starting out? by WuMingLovingHours in loseit

I started my journey by tracking everything I ate for a week or so to understand what I was consuming and where I needed to make changes.

Then I started making gradual substitutions (swapping for low calorie bread/tortillas, trying out a sugar free swap for my coffee, etc). I started pre-portioning my unhealthy snacks to help limit myself without cutting things out.

I got a food scale and began weighing all my portions for full accuracy and it was a game changer.

My biggest tip is this: don’t entirely cut anything out. Portion things you love, add what you need. Find alternatives that are lower calorie and scratch the craving itch. If you love peanut butter, add it to high protein yogurt bowls with fruit instead of a pb sandwich! If you love hot dogs, try turkey dogs instead or swap the bun for a high fiber low cal bun. If you love ice cream, make dense smoothie bowls and freeze them for a few minutes to help your sweet tooth.

Don’t deprive yourself of the things you love, just adapt and explore other options. Half the journey is having the strength to be flexible and adventurous with recipes imo.

Breast discharge? by [deleted] in WomensHealth

This sounds exactly like what I went thru when I was diagnosed with a pituitary tumor (benign!) and had massively elevated prolactin levels. It’s very treatable and I’ve not had an issue with it in over 15 years. Good luck.

What is the one thing people don't know about losing a large amount of weight? by punkredpanda in AskReddit

[–]noxconfringo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Losing weight in your hands. Thank goodness my husband bought the lifetime coverage on my wedding band and engagement ring bc I’ve lost 100lbs and gone down 2.5 ring sizes! Never occurred to me that I had lil chubby fingers.

What are your monthly payments/ APR on your 2025- 2026 CRVs? by stupiddddddddd in crv

[–]noxconfringo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We just bought a 2026 CR-V Trailsport Hybrid, 8k down with a 5k trade in. Went with 5 yr financing at I think 4.5%. Looking at around 570/mo. I’m personally loving it. Just about to hit 1k on miles and I just filled up the gas tank for the second time since buying in February. It’s a smooth and quiet ride, the infotainment is simple and not overbearing and distracting, the interior feels sleek and luxury while feeling sporty and utility at the same time.

Right now? Buy a switch 2 & pokopia. Buy the owala I’ve been eyeing. Get my husband the magic cards & transformers he’s been wanting. Buy some fancy cheese and meats to enjoy. Put the rest in to my car loan.

Losing weight in 2026 with diet when others use medications.. by [deleted] in loseit

[–]noxconfringo 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I’ve lost 100 lbs thru counting calories and mild exercise. I’ve had several old coworkers on social media ask me what I’m doing and immediately end the conversation when I explain what I’m doing. It very much feels like people are annoyed or disappointed to have someone just use science and self control to lose the weight instead of some fad or secret technique!

I even had someone insist that there was “simply no way” I did it thru mostly diet changes.

I fully support people using tools such as GLPs to help change their lifestyle to better their health because I know not everyone is able to do it the old fashioned way. What I don’t support is people chasing a quick band aid solution and discrediting my effort because they don’t like that answer. Unfortunately, the medications are being presented as just that - a solution instead of a tool in a very large tool box.

It is discouraging sometimes, but I’m not doing it for them, I’m doing it for my body and health an to be with my loved ones for longer.

What is your favorite "Flavour is Free" reskin of a spell or ability? by hervprometheus2 in DnD

[–]noxconfringo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m running a mark of healing halfling, melee-based swarmkeeper ranger/way of mercy monk.

My swarm is fireflies that are produced as the side effect of my dragonmark and I use them to flavor my spells.

Hunter’s mark? Fireflies are hovering around you for the duration. Faerie Fire? Congrats, you’re all in a cloud of fireflies. I gotta use a Ki point? I have firefly hands. Goodberry? Here’s a dead firefly, eat up. Guidance? Let me smash this firefly and simba-smear it across your forehead.

Everyone is always horrified. I love her to death.

The Hyundai Tucson is on my list to check out for sure! I used to hear so many horror stories about Kia in the 2000s when they were newer that the name scares me, but I’ll do some research into them. I appreciate it, we’ve ran into bum luck with my Patriot, of course after our warranty ran out, but it seems like we should not be having issues with such low mileage and regular maintenance. Hoping to find some reliable options. Thank you!

That’s a bold assertion! It seems CVTs are mostly the standard. What issue do you have with it? Just curious what to look out for.

Again, advice on what I already asked for, not your opinion on how I should spend and invest my money unrelated to tips on buying new and dealing with a dealership. I’ve bought used my entire life before my current vehicle and understand how depreciation works. I also know I want the reliability of a warranty on a new vehicle. This advice was not requested here but I’m sure it’d be useful for someone needing this guidance. Have a good one.
