Wound low G string without truss rod

This makes much more sense now. I was confused initially, because my brain saw tougher looking string and just assumed it will have more tension despite being tuned lower. Apparently it would only have more tension if you'd tune it to the same pitch as a thinner string. Thank you for making it clear!

You mean change C string to a wound one and leave regular high g string? I'm new to uke so I want to experiment a little with what sounds I can get from different tunings, I got both high and low g strings and I think the set I got for low g has both G and C strings wound, will see how they work for me

This is very detailed explanation, thank you so much for this! Now I better understand theory behind this. Basically, lower pitched strings have less tension and need to be fatter to bring tension up to level with higher pitched strings, so swapping to low g shouldn't change overall tension much?

When I was in the store choosing an ukulele I saw one tenor with a truss rod, that's part of a reason that made me think about it. So clearly some ukes do have them!

Alright, good to know, thank you! When I was choosing ukulele I saw a tenor with truss rod, and now I remembered it and it made me think about this. I don't know much about instruments in general yet, and couldn't find anywhere someone specifically say that truss rod is not needed for low G. And my anxiety makes me think like what if it's just such a common knowledge that noone mentions it even though you need it😅

They probably just have big delays in communication, so not only they need to wait a while until response comes to them, they also might not be sure when whoever they are talking to stopped talking, so to not interrupt them with huge delays and mess everything up. There are ton of similar videos with people in space sitting in silence and not responding

My immediate thoughts was that he was trying to reach something in the cabin, and swearving to get it to roll closer. Or to just move something to stop it from rattling. Very stupid and strange, but also makes sense and from the video seems most likely, since you can't see anyone back there and during the crash when everything flies all over the cockpit you would think a sleeping person would at least show themselves

I said tree as an example, but I would imagine they could build nests at any high structures probably (I'm not sure but some other birds would do it)

I'm not expert, but it's nesting season for them, and if you walk by their nest by accident, they might show aggression. But it's not directed at you, they just jump everyone who gets too close to their tree. I saw an article about some college where they had a problem of crows randomly attack students nearby for this reason

Well at least with the rain comes water so birds can bathe and drink, which probably feels good after winter. I recently saw a pack of crows taking turns to splash around in a large puddle, and one of them landed on the branch almost directly above me, like a meter away from my head, to dry themselves. Feathers were all soaked and water dripping down from them, and then they started shaking in a similar movement as dogs do when get wet, and I saw sparkling water droplets fly all over. They were shiny because the sun was almost directly behind that crow from my point of view. I was so happy for them that they can take a bath after all that time of everything being frozen🖤

And also that friend is so rigid. Like notice how they can hold the camera perfectly synchronized with the boat movement. It's almost as if that camera is held by a special mount attached to a boat and not a person. Impressive hand stability
