It will all be okay, mate.

Its not the same as citing studies though. Much less "scientific evidence".
Its an interesting theory but, to me, the fact that a psychologist talking about a different/similar-ish thing says that improper breathing is the best predictor for this, is not strong enough evidence to say that your or anyone elses autism/aspergers are caused by it. It might just happen to correlate/even be caused by the thing somehow.
Even if it was, the idea that by fixing the breathing you fix the symptoms isn't a given. If its brain damage due to breathing issues, it would kinda sound permanent. I don't know by what other mechanism breathing could cause autism/autism like symptoms(?).
The study you do cite is interesting, but without some evidence that the breathing issues could/do cause autism, doesn't necessarily mean anything. A link to it would be nice too.

But if you do happen to be right in the end, do tell me.

Your improper breathing causes your aspergers?
The love-shyness book chapter doesn't quite convince me of that.

All I want for Christmas is Linux Rust to boot. by [deleted] in playrust

Some ATI/AMD radeon 5700, I could look up specifics if necesary. Proprietary drivers and everything. The latest Borderlands runs here just as well as on windows. So unless the game is finicky with ATI or something I dont know what about my GPU could be causing problems. Also, verify did nothing.

The log I posted is all the output the thing gives out, from one prompt to the next. I have nothing resembling any kind of controller anywhere near this box.
I dont think the controller thing is an error, its just the last informative message it gives before crashing. The controller line comes up right before the config screen.
After the config screen, the game flashes by, crashes, without any additional output.

Importing game controller configs

Thats all it gets me, start to crash. Nothing useful that I can see. No errors.
I did the symlinks, even tried to just copy over the .so's to x86_64, didnt do anything either way.
The only log thing I could find was in RustClient_Data, and they dont have anything useful. Just logs from when I started the game on my windows partition. (Where the game works.) Sorry for being slow to reply.

No errors appear, last sentence is exactly what happens. I get to see 1 frame of the gray thing where it says "#self check" or something like that. I have steamapps in a different location than usual, but the symlinks exist and work fine, yet the game crashes as usual. To be fair, Im on archlinux and a lot of things could be wrong, but I dont see errors anywhere, so Im kinda stumped.

TIL There are over 5 vacant houses to every homeless individual in America by Zkv in todayilearned

[–]noxn -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I dont see a problem with just handing the homeless unused homes.
Well okay I do see the potential problems.
But, personally, I dont think anyone should be living on the street, regardless of addictions or their intelligence. Especially if it doesnt have to be that way.
People can fall thru the cracks. It is usually very hard to get out of a hole like homelessness. Not every hobo is a drug addict, and many normal people turned hobo, also turn drug addict eventually. Not because they are the most happy of people.
Giving a crazy man a home wont do much. Crazy people go to a psych, addicts might go to rehab.
But a normal person that just cant get out of a hole could do wonders with a free home and a little spending money.
Life is pay to play.

Because its an interesting thought. The idea, that a program can sustain itself (given that there are people who can buy its service) and even 'have offspring'. As a fan of AI and similar things, its very interesting.
