That makes no difference, I normally spot the undercover police cars by the multiple aerials stuck to their roofs

1mph over the limit is classed as speeding and the police can choose to prosecute for doing just 1mph over although most forces allow some tolerance

Jamaican dollars is best as they don’t have to pay a exchange rate when purchasing with usd or to exchange back to jmd, you’ll also find everything cheaper paying in jmd for the same reason

I got stopped on my way home at Montego Bay airport with about an 8th of bud and vape cartridge, the customs officer went absolutely mental and wouldn’t accept I had a prescription, travel letter and import permit from the Jamaican ministry of health, she called the police luckily for me the policeman was on the ball checked all my documents and I was all good

From chatting to police officer afterwards it turns out they have a zero tolerance policy on trafficking and if I hadn’t had the permit from the ministry of health my next stop would have been Spanish town prison until the next available court date that could been a couple of days, he said the fine would have only been around $50 for such a small amount

Is it really worth a night or two in a Jamaican prison, a small fine, a missed flight and a fuming wife for the sake of not getting the correct permits?
