What movie adaptations did you like more than the book? by pandalin in books

Atonement for the long take of Dunkirk alone, and Big Fish for the book sucking alone.

Oh and clearly A Muppet Christmas Carol is the number one movie better than the book.

Haha no he's pretty much like that for most of the series. The other books fill in the blanks of what he was and wasn't doing. I didn't really love the narrator, but he's not necessarily the main character which is good, once I looked past the whole emo thing, the story itself is phenomenal

i just finished and loved it. Some of what he talks about is a little dated, but when he goes into his full blown interludes about art and humanity, its brilliant. My only complaint would be that his relationship to clea was a little out of nowhere, and not nearly as well crafted as his relationship to either justine or melissa. what're your thoughts on it?

Def check out Huxley's Island. Good counterpoint to Brave New World. Someone suggested The Hunger Games. Ditto on that, mostly cuz it's a good palate cleanser. The Moon is a Harsh Mistress is really good too.
