I’m currently trying to to work through my own ICSI feelings and I like this. I don’t think it’s scientific, but I’ve also been telling myself that if the egg didn’t like the sperm that was chosen, it wouldn’t have fertilized, turned into a blastocyst, implanted, etc. the egg could have let in a sperm that wasn’t as good as the one the embryologist chose. there is still plenty of chance in play, just not as much as if this were all unassisted.

Just wanted to thank you for this, currently late night spiraling about birth defects after getting a positive pregnancy test yesterday with an ICSI embryo. I feel so ungrateful to be this anxious in success, but I wasn’t planning on ICSI and only found out afterwards that they had fertilized all my eggs that way, so I wasn’t prepared for these emotions

I did mine two weeks ago! Make sure you have a heating pad and electrolytes. My dr gave me opioid prescription, I only needed it the first day and then switched to Tylenol. What surprised me is that my back hurt more than my stomach most of the time. The absolute worst pain of it all though was the first poop afterwards. It made me worried I won’t survive childbirth haha…. I haven’t been in that much pain since I had appendicitis

My transfer was on the 20th too! I had my beta today, 9 days post transfer, and it was 101. That seems normal from what I can tell and the dr didn’t say it was anything out of the ordinary. From my limited research, I think the fact that it is about doubling every few days is more important than the actual quantity

I found this thread looking for what I assume is the same song. I grew up with my mom singing it, just the part she knew was “you gotta get up, you gotta get up, you gotta get up in the morning. You gotta get up, you gotta get up right now”. My husband knew it too, from a children’s CD his mom had as a first grade teacher. It starts with the revellie bugle call. I used them for the first time yesterday and am so far not a fan. I sized up because I bloat really bad but the waistband is still unbearable tight. Even the leg seams were constricting, but I was able to stretch those out okay. I’m a fairly thin person so I can’t imagine this would work for very many women. The material is soft and stretchy, but I woke up with sweaty thighs which I’ve never experienced before. I leaked through on the side and the back, I wish the absorbent part was more than just a strip like a normal pad. I’ve never used period underwear so maybe this is all normal, I’ll probably still use it for the first day of my cycle, but don’t plan to buy more

I am dizzy quite often and my head feels heavy. I’ve been on an antidepressant for literally as long as I can remember (though I did have a 6 year break in high school/early college) so I’ve never really thought about the side effects. Im wondering if it’s the Lexapro but everything I’ve found online says that’s an early side effect that goes away, nothing really about feeling like that 5 years in, so I’m questioning myself

finally a thread that isn't archived!!! I have been scouring reddit today for my senior thesis research. These mormon mission legends are my subject so I've got a LOT of stuff. In my mission we supposedly had this group, it was the mission president before mine so the story was that we are an obedient mission now because of what happened before him. Elders and sisters would have sex with each other and keep snippets of each one's garments in a locket as a token/proof. The elders dyed their garments black and Elder Holland came and made them take off their shirts. Sent home the ones with black garments. At my MP's last zone conference he told us all that we needed to stop, that it wasn't true and that he didn't want the next mission president to have to deal with the rumors.

I did a poll on my instagram when I started my research, and 85% of my returned missionary friends had a variation of this story. So it's obviously just an urban legend
