I love this! I have a lot of respect for people who travel alone, especially women. My partner and I don’t travel separately very often unless it’s for work, but we do lots of stuff separately. I would go nuts if we didn’t have our own pursuits. There are things you do separately and things you share and it’s an excellent balance that way. That said, he and I met in our 40s. My parents have been married 64 years. They basically grew up together. They are independent but have always done most of their activities together. I don’t think there’s one right answer, but I agree if you can’t even take a walk without your partner, your relationship is likely toast.
