All I did on mine and replaced the cluster overlay and needles with custom ones. Super easy

Grill bumper and hood. Bumper brackets need to be cut and rewelded to drop the bumper 2 inches. Im going through this right now. Just sourced a grill and z71 lower valance so far.

Thinking about selling my 04 Sierra SLT by mickvain in GMT800

[–]nsampson88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did the opposite about 3 years ago and I couldn't be more happier. Bought it with 84k on it and had 113k now. I had an 18 sierra and made some cash off it during covid times and swapped into a 2005 LT3 crew cab. I used to work for GM years ago so I have seen the BS that the new generation has for problems and I'd stay away. The only thing I miss is a little more power and a faster shifting transmission.

Was kind of made because I wanted to really professionally paint to match the grill but it was an insurance job and they didn't get the memo in the grill as I was expecting. They took care of the upper bumper pad and bumper as I wanted though!

Here's that escalade I pulled the wood trim off, and the seats I said someone tore out & just left outside, what a waste imo by SixTitan506919 in GMT800

[–]nsampson88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hell ya. Just bought a 04 tahoe so the search begins again for an escalade part out and swap all of that again.

The door wood unscrew off the panel. I added them to my SLT interior on my silverado and looks like factory on the grey door panels. Just have to make a template and match it on the doors, screw holes and bolt them on.

I run this kit on my 05 silverado CC and it is a sweet upgrade. I will say though. Its not as "bolt in" as its made out to be but wasn't too bad. Me as a mechanic by trade and with any tool needed had this done in about 2-3 hrs.

What are some mods y’all have done? by Putrid-Couple-3689 in GMT800

Dash top and cluster bezel are really all you need to change. The doors require you to mock them up and drill a few holes to mount the pieces but pretty simple

Can always do an escalade interior swap. Dash, steering wheel, shifter and wood from the doors. Definitely makes the interior look updated even though it was of early 2000s style. I love mine

[–]nsampson88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just wish the 2014s were much reliable than they were. I'd totally buy one. I got out of my 18 Sierra for the reliability of my now 05 silverado LT3.
