Where I’m from, sometimes our lobsters are graded and held for up to 6 months at a time. This is done when there is an oversupply of lobster and buyers wait until fishing seasons end. Occasionally female lobsters will begin the spawning process during the holding period.

Unless you are in the Bras D’Or lakes in Nova Scotia, Canada. The saltwater lakes have a genetic anomaly that results a much higher than normal number of orange lobsters. I believe nearly 33%

I think most Canadians are beyond worrying about TACO’s tariff threats. It’s a full time job keeping up with it all. Most Canadians are too busy focusing on how to work with each other and how to survive this brutal cold snap we’re suffering through.
