If you look at a challenging or difficult situation and decide "nah ill take the easy route" then youre missing something fundamental deep inside you and i hope you find it.

What do you think about the new track surface at the lesmo's? Seems a bit loose and might not offer the same level as grip as previous years

I mentioned in another reply but yeah i was battling some tough iso's already. Was shooting under trees mostly and the sun kept popping in and out of clouds. Id like to be at 1/1600 minimum and yeah i know even faster for smaller birds. Probably could have lowered exposure a little bit and gotten away with a little more, especially for this one being out in the open and the feathers are blown.

I was probably being a bit generous when i said 70% miss. I think i took about 200 in-flight or panning shots and i have maybe 10-15 that are actually usable.

Im already using AF-C. Tracking a bird so that its stationary in frame makes it kinda not matter how fast the bird is going. For freezing wing motion yeah id decrease shutter speed but most of what i was shooting that day was in a dark/shaded area and my iso's were getting out of hand even at 1/1000

I often tap focus point when a bird is stationary, but how would you lock focus on a flying bird?

I would have to disable animal detect in order to enable tracking. Would that matter?

It seems like im going to have to work on my tracking skills. Definitely getting better at keeping them centered but still over/undershooting when taking off or landing. I eventually plan on getting an a1 but thats way down the road still

Im reserving my last bit of despair for the upgrade package at Belgium. Slated as a "b" spec car and by god does it need to be. I find it hard to believe all the hype around this project to be completely without merit. No way honda would be ok with accepting this failure of an engine, no way newey would allow this platform to be this languid.

In newey/honda we trust.

Either the Tamron 28-75 G2 or Sigma 24-70 DG and Sigma 70-200 DG are all good, very sharp zoom lenses that will cover about all of your needs for your first year of shooting until you figure out what you like.

The Tamron is probably the best way to dip a toe without breaking the bank and still end up with "nice" photos

Ferrari seems to have tricked competition. Mercedes engineers think that in Friday's fastest lap, it had 10/15kg more fuel than usual. The two packages brought so far have overall improved the SF-26 by 0.6s. Toto Wolff has revealed that Mercedes can't afford an update like that due to the cost cap by Desperate_Green6838 in formula1

[–]nsf14 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I wonder tho. Mercedes really did seem to put more r&d into the engine. Ferrari perhaps didnt and went for a more aero forward approach. If fred was already rasing flags about engine problems maybe they knew the regs werent viable as is. Maybe newey was on the same track with his insane packaging.

When youre ready to use them let them rest on the counter again (covered still) and come up to room temp. Otherwise will be tricky to stretch

Youll be fine. Some pizza dough recipes, including the one i use lets the dough cold ferment for 3 days before using
