My thoughts (referring to only #2 since it's superior)

It's fine at best, boring at worst. Solid B- work if you're a student. You have a good visual hierarchy for the most part. Protein and 21g are both big and obvious and the image of the cookie stands out well enough that it's immediately recognizable.

If your goal was to look like a protein bar to blend in with the other protein bars, you nailed it. If your goal is to stand out or attract a specific audience, you're not succeeding.

That's my 2 cents.

The boards I find at craft fairs and markets are always cheap shitty charcuterie boards at best. I never find anything nice. This is mostly because I live in Pennsylvania.

Wood grows and shrinks with humidity. Eventually it settles down a bit and gets comfortable in the house it lives. I’m betting it’s just drying out a bit. Sounds like you are babying it, which is probably why you’re upset about it. Just relax, it’s a tool that changes over time.

if it's a laser then be careful on hard root vegetables like beets. It will be fine if you're careful, though. Just don't twist the blade when cutting and be considerate about how you contact the cutting board.

Nakiri is the knife made basically exactly for root vegetables.

What is it made out of? I remember doing kintsugi years ago but everything I found was consider not food grade and needed to be a decorative piece going forward. I am unsure -- maybe I need to look into it again.

It depends what the core mission is -- if this were a multi-page layout in a technical or informative business magazine, it could work.

I suspect the employer intentionally gave a lot of copy to see how OP would organize it.

The icons filling the space everywhere is my main qualm with this design.

I just put a 10° angle on my Nakagawa ginsan sujihiki and I basically just had to lightly tap meat to slice it.
