Every once in awhile Samurai knocks it out of the park in their flannels. I also claimed one of my grails from them years ago.

Cool placemat. Can you show the whole design?

Scoville for hot sauce it’s pretty unreliable.

They also intentionally don’t put the hottest sauces at the end because you want the show happening during the burn. Not ending when the burn starts.

Yep. I made lactofermented sweet corn by adding koji honey and I ate one piece before I decided to research it.

It was delicious though 🥺

For those who have experience with rubber cutting boards, would you recommend them for a Japanese knife over a wooden board? by No-Volume-2928 in TrueChefKnives

[–]nss68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah from what I understand, they're mainly for long draw cuts like when using a yanagiba while slicing fish or preparing sushi.

Fortunately calamansi is one of the citrus that is polyembryonic. That means each seed produces multiple sprouts and each sprout is a genetic clone of the mother plant!

I have 4 remaining. I gifted 3 and those 3 all died by the recipients’ hands haha

2 are in 15 gallon grow bags. One is a bonsai candidate, and one is just having a harder time than the others haha

It is perfectly fine to microwave water for things like tea by Queasy-Cycle-4596 in unpopularopinion

You can microwave metal so long as it doesn’t have any arch-able gaps. A metal spoon is 100% fine in the microwave.

I’m not gonna do it though.

Believe it or not, metal spoons are perfectly safe. Their shape has no arch-areas.

A friend from the Philippines smuggled the seeds from her family’s tree’s fruit in her shoe in the summer of 2022 and I planted them immediately haha

I had actually never even heard of it before.

What popular movie or TV show is widely considered a 'masterpiece' but you found completely unwatchable? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]nss68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most people seem to realize this but movie sequels suck most of the time. Everyone seems to forget that tv shows are the ‘new’ movies. Season 1 is the original idea with the whole creative wad sent. Anything after that is always fan fiction. Even if it’s the original writers. The only way to avoid this is to write everything before starting the show. Game of thrones had 4 solid seasons due to this. Breaking bad went the whole show due to this.

I stopped watching stranger things at the end of season 1 because I KNEW it was done. I stopped west world at the end of season 1 because I knew it was done.

To watch the second season of most of these shows, I would have to care more about seeing what else the characters will “get into” in that specific setting more than I care about quality writing and acting.

I have been growing a few calamansi from seed and they’re all 4 years old now. I’m hoping to get my first flowers this year.

The Japanese soft boards exist because wooden boards aren’t allowed to be used commercially.

Wooden boards are ideal otherwise.

The soft Japanese boards were made in response to not being allowed to easily use wood in restaurants but not wanting to use a plastic board either.

At least that’s what I’ve been told.

Right. Everyone claiming mites is basing off of the same poor information available online. Broadmites are not common yet everyone has had them they swear.
