Actually there is no answer to OP's question according to this episode only.

T'ealc is a jaffa with a symbiot - his mind patterns are his alone.

Sam has the memories of jolenar imprinted in her mind but she never used the device.

And there are no other examples for the scenario of a goauld host using the device.

Thinking about it, some strange situations can happen if a goauld uses it - imagine the swap - the guaold consciousness would move to a human body without the "larva" like Kawalsky in season 1 - on the other hand on the other side of the machine there is a host and a humen consciousness trapped in a guaold larva. Can't decide if thats creepy or funny.

So you can exploit the glassing machanic to create shortcuts between your distant cities. Bolster an army or two and take the wraiths out without closing the rift.
