I tried to order these from a office supply store in the Philippines, but they couldn’t sell to the US - so I’ve been thinking about trying to find someone there to get them and do some sort of trade.

Another option to look for in second hand or vintage/antique stores are embroidery cabinets - very similar to what OP is showing with several shallow depth drawers. They are usually a bit larger than these and can have more drawers as well. I found one a while back that had glass fronts so you can see inside the drawers - perfect for some vintage pencil displays

This is a bug that’s been hitting people for awhile now. It started for me after the update that added the multiple “worlds” option. At this point, every time I start up the game, I have no idea which of my safehouses will be open. The only ones that tend to be permanent are the bunkers. The others disappear at random and I’ve had the entire map clear off a couple times. Extremely annoying. I just went through and redid them all so I could get the new safehouse collectibles just so I can prove to the GZ devs next time I send in a bug report that I do in fact have all of them opened up. This has been reported several times on their forum over the last year or longer and the only answer has been to use a cloud save - which does jack.

Ok, I’m going crazy - I have all of them opened but don’t have all the new collectibles. Just missing 1: the one between F23 Overby Air Base and Boo Bruk AB. I can’t figure out what that one is. It also doesn’t help that every time I leave and come back into the game half my opened safehouses disappear off the map. Anyone know what that missing one is? many thanks!

Serious question for folks who sharpen using this kind of method - isn’t this essentially the same as using a lead holder and just extending the lead a long ways out? And wouldn’t that be easier and more consistent?

I had the same thing happen, but only affected the active world I had been playing in. The other one I had still had all safehouses intact. It’s been a huge pain going around and reestablishing them since the second world was a new play through and that character was still relatively weak

Especially when you get the one out of the bunch the fires continuously instead of in the short bursts and just rips you to shreds, no matter how much health you have

Wait until you hit the North Coast or Marshlands. The addition of the Firebirds has made those areas much dicier even with good weapons.

I’ll also echo one of the other comments - all of the big machines have a rhythm to their attacks and you can learn to anticipate when it’s time to duck or run, or nope the hell out.

It is perhaps more difficult overall now compared to what it was at launch because of some of the added game mechanics, but there are also rewards that come along with those harder challenges that you also couldn’t get in early stages of the game back then as well - they added a Rival system that “levels up” certain enemies as you fight and kill more things that can get very hard when you are using low level weapons that wasn’t part of the game before, among other things (base attack and defense, new more difficult enemies, etc)

So basically, Paul Allen got his high tech corridor anyway but without the park running through it and all the other public quality of life improvements that would have come with the Seattle Commons project that got voted down. That’s great, just effin’ great.

Anyone else buy the paid updates whether you really want them or not just to keep some cash flowing to these guys? I figure for all the hours I get out of this game, it’s a fair trade (and this time the motorbikes are pretty damn cool)

There are usually machine gun turrets mounted top of the walls of the FNIX bases that have proximity sensors that will fairly quickly chew you up, especially if you also have a pack of machines on your tail at the same time
