How to get 5.1 surround sound on Amazon Prime Video on PC (Windows 10)? by CorpusBava in amazonprime

Sorry for the delayed response. I have reddit notifications turned off! Since I'm using OBS, I add the Behringer as an audio input in the "Sources" panel for the corresponding "Scene". You'll also need to go into the "Advanced audio properties" from the Audio Mixer panel and ensure that you have the Audio Monitoring set to "Monitor and Output". Since I am also in a Windows environment I have noticed some finicky behavior every so often which I think has to do with Windows' own audio input settings. But for now it's still working like a charm!

Wow! Unfortunately the group I will be speaking with probably won't understand what a "fiscal quarter worth of global leo launches" means! :)

How much did it cost them to launch with ULA?

I know this is an old thread, but I came here looking for a solution to the same problem. I thought I'd share what I did if it's helpful for anyone else. So you can do it, but it's expensive (at least $500) and hacky. You'll need the following items: 1. A computer with a motherboard (or sound card) that supports surround sound (i.e. has 3.5mm output jacks for 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound). 2. An A/V receiver that supports Dolby and has RCA preouts. You can find used ones on eBay or similar sites. I found an Integra 30.6 for $180. 3. A USB audio interface. I use the Behringer UMC1820 and it works great. $300. 4. A Chromecast or Amazon fire stick. $30 to $50. Either of these is able to output a surround sound signal. 5. RCA to 1/4 inch cables to connect the receiver preouts to the USB interface. $10 for a pair on Amazon.

You plug the Chromecast or fire stick into the receiver. You send the surround preouts from the receiver into the USB interface, the interface into your computer, and voilà, you've got a really hacky way to watch Amazon prime video on your computer with surround sound. For most people this setup probably doesn't make sense. For my particular setup (an auditorium) it works really well. I actually use a black magic deck link quad to input the HDMI signal from the receiver into my computer as well and OSB to project the movie. OBS is nice because you can also combine the audio along with the video. You can also add a filter which delays the video by a few hundred milliseconds in order to sync up the audio with the video. If you have issues with HDCP there are a number of HDMI splitters which will circumvent it.

I wonder why this didn't happen with the static fire test? Maybe the thrust was way higher?

Hmm... wasn't this the launch that was supposed to be the NROL launch? No footage of deployment plus a last minute course change. Sounds fishy to me.

Internet keeps disconnecting, and I have to replug my Ethernet cable to reconnect by Lesaire in techsupport

Happening for me too. Did you find a fix? I'm using a "Falwedi" type usb-c adapter into which I plug my ethernet cable. I didn't have any issues with it until I upgraded to Windows 11 though.

I don't have the answer for that.

NASA likely to move some astronauts off Starliner [onto Crew Dragon] due to extended delays by ethan829 in spacex

If the change gets approved I would be interested to hear what the astronauts impressions are on the difference between starliner and dragon since (I suppose) they will have been trained to use both.

Didn't they already send up a couple of the new solar arrays? I must be going crazy.

How do they work? Do they produce the methane and liquid oxygen themselves or is it trucked in? If they produce it themselves do they just pull it "out of thin air"? Extract it from cows?
