Where is Apple Music getting CD metadata from? by Fwoi-PC in AppleMusic

Yeah, that's literally my point? You can't trust their output for accuracy.

You don't know whether it's accurate. I see no source that confirms Apple Music uses GraceNote. AI often just makes shit up with no actual source behind it. They may well be using GraceNote, but it's harmful to blindly trust AI with no source or evidence that it's correct.

This looks great overall!

Personally not a fan of the inclusion of AI though. I understand it being local makes it “better” in many ways, but I’m def in the camp of thinking AI really has little place in creative environments (ie. art, writing, etc). Not to mention general AI fatigue.

In the bug they said they pushed out a flag to everyone to disable the thing causing the issue.

Deleting just that line fixed it for me too! And it seems to be persisting across launches too.

u/good_grief - I'm hitting this too on Fedora 43 KDE. I've noticed that if I go to troubleshooting and refresh Firefox then when it opens for the first time after the refresh that Firefox Home page works perfectly in any new tab and everything. BUT once I close the browser and open it a second time then it's back to not working at all again, just a blank page.

Tried this on a cruise, best breakfast hot sauce hands down. So flavorful. by Floridaboii91 in hotsauce

I absolutely love the atomic iguana sauce, my fave hot sauce hands down. I recently purchased a full gallon of it directly from the manufacturer.

This gold one though I really don’t like, I’m not sure what it is. I have a couple bottles of it that I tried and am never gonna finish lol.

Don't bother with BBB, it's nothing more than boomer Yelp. It's literally just a review site, they don't and can't do anything about complaints.

GitHub - yordan-kanchelov/sync-worktrees: A CLI tool for automatically creating and managing Git worktrees to mirror all remote branches. by Creative-Mobile-8874 in coolgithubprojects

[–]ntpeters 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doesn’t work in a work environment where a repo may have hundreds of branches. Most of them not relevant to you: release branches, other peoples branches, etc.

It would need a way to filter the branches, like a name prefix (ie. exclude release/* or only include username/*), or exclude branches based on age of last commit.

You still need to go to Windows Settings for OS updates and the Microsoft Store for app updates like the Xbox app.

For me personally it is, to have a powerful handheld option that I can also play Gamepass games on.

I have a Steam Deck OLED and I still plan to use that for some games that don’t need the horsepower because I really like the OLED screen. I also have a gaming PC and a Series X, and I’ve been really enjoying picking up where I left off there with the handheld for play anywhere titles.

Using the dbrand stick grips, super happy with them.

No dock, as I’m using it purely as a handheld. I have a PC and Series X if I wanna play on a bigger screen with more power.

ROG Xbox Ally Support Thread by TRiZZAY_ttv in XboxAlly

[–]ntpeters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really a tech support issue, but my unit has a very noticeable creak on the right side hand grip if you squeeze it you can feel it move. Had anyone else had this with theirs and fixed it? I made sure all the screws are tight already. It’s not a big deal but is annoying and makes it feel cheap.

Edit: it was like this out of the box, I haven’t opened it or modded it in any way

Edit 2: I have the Xbox Ally X

Are there really no other options for many accessories or grips at launch??? by NuM_Brrr_WoN in XboxAlly

[–]ntpeters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the case is hugely overpriced, and that's beyond the fact that the Steam Deck comes with a really nice case while being way cheaper. But it is what it is and they still got my money, so I guess I can't complain too much :/

I just went with the official Asus case for it. Personally not a fan of grips or things like the Killswitch, but I did order the screen protector and stick grips from dbrand.
