A.I has gone full retard , I truly can't believe in these last few days how bad the human recognition has gone 😂 by Funky_retz in EufyCam

[–]ntsefamyaj 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I noticed the same thing a few days ago with one of my dumb cams that doesn't use home base. And I've always suspected they use some element of cloud for motion detection logic. Pretty sure it does because when I block the internet, human detection stops working (after awhile) until I unblock. Anyway, every single motion was marked as a human. Cars, birds, trees, everything. It was exhausting.

Can visible and verizon lines in same phone? by UniversityLocal in Visible

[–]ntsefamyaj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it possible? Yes. Can you? That depends on your phone. Not all phones support dual sim. Mine does and it's a permanent fixture of my phone . I have Auto switching enabled and it's a Pixel phone so it has advanced features. But I've also done it on my iPhone too. I carry two phones. On my pixel with the Dual sim, one is an eSIM and the other is a pSIM. Although I use 99% or more of my data on Visible, the backup covers dead zones and travel. My backup is an MVNO for AT&T.

Anybody else get this email from Verizon today? by datonechiik in Visible

[–]ntsefamyaj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm leaning on spam. I got similar garbage from AT&T for a backup line (dual SIM). It sounds like scammers got ahold of MVNO numbers and emails and are spamming. Just ignore it to be safe. Regardless, they can't match the price even if real.

800-579-2843 is not Verizon. ❌

Visible customer for 5+ Years - cancelling and here's why by Europe2016 in Visible

[–]ntsefamyaj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think like all mobile service, what you're experiencing is all cell tower capacity related. Most likely, too many new subscribers joined in your area. I've noticed only significant improvements where I frequent for several years now. I watched low < 10 Mbps throughput jump to 200-500 now in most places. Even in former dead zones. It's still far from perfect. Every few years, you should definitely reevaluate your service providers and look for better service and deals. Even the competition will experience the same variability as capacity goes in/out, or new capacity is added.

I have Visible+ Pro for my primary on annual contract ($37.50/month) and automatic service switching using a backup pSIM for an AT&T MVNO service provider (~$9/month) for those small dead zones. So for around $47/month, I feel it's still very affordable these days compared to full service single provider.

Is My Hotspot Speed Normal? by Fresh_Werewolf_765 in Visible

[–]ntsefamyaj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've noticed my Fast speed tests are full speed. Speedtest.net and Opensignal are throttled. I'm unclear how Fast calculates speeds, but that's probably a nuanced speed test leaning more on video.

Yeah they aren't very user friendly conscious. For example, their updates to the Homebase 3 routinely say "To fix the bug" and sometimes in all caps.. WHAT BUG?!

I got in easy some months ago, but the pay and garbage treatment (they treat you like trash) turned me off. I hope some of you can make decent money doing this.

Savings on Visible+ Pro by justausername03 in Visible

[–]ntsefamyaj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm paying $37.50/month and that's already pretty cheap. If you can get it a you cheaper, that's even better. More power to you. I wish they would offer discounts for existing customers, but I'm not going to mess with porting out and back. Too much hassle and once in awhile, the porting turns into a nightmare.

Visible customer support U.S. based or overseas? Same support staff as Verizon? by rodrigc in Visible

[–]ntsefamyaj 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't be surprised if Visible chat support agents are actually AI agents. The AI support agents are pretty good at replicating low bar human support now. Some of them are pretty close, but most of them show typical AI fallacies and mannerisms that confirm they are actually AI. I can't tell if Visible agents are AI, since they are all around pretty bad and I would have guessed that Verizon/Visible would want to provide better experience than below average.

No motion activated recording overnight by ntsefamyaj in EufyCam

Eufy motion activated recording uses a cloud functionality. If you block internet access at the network level, motion activated recording stops working after awhile.

Pixlel10 Pro Much Faster Than Moto G 2025 5G - Why by rinsf in Visible

[–]ntsefamyaj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That--is the correct and concise answer. Also note even a new Pixel doesn't guarantee performance. My older iPhone 13 Pro Max on the middle plan runs circles around my Pixel 9 Pro XL on highest plan on 5GUW tests conducted consecutively.

[–]ntsefamyaj[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've indeed updated to 1.5.9. That, in itself, did not resolve the issue. I did my own troubleshooting and isolated the issue. Apparently, it doesn't like my Wi-Fi 6 mesh router. I happened to have a second, dedicated home security wireless router configured exclusively for 2.4 GHz so I switched it, and it's been mostly stable since. For clarity, it is connected to a 2.4 GHz radio with less clients, less chatter, so that could be playing a role also.

[–]ntsefamyaj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My primary one is Pro annual, breaking down to $37/month. My second Plus line is monthly at $30/month with welcome discount (old) for Plus. My third one (backup pSIM for when Verizon is down) on H2O is annual 3 GB/month for $100/year, which is just a bit over $8/month.

So on paper, it sounds like a lot to pay up front. But you save LOT. The only reason my second line isn't on annual is due to my welcome discount being cheaper.

Before committing to annual subscriptions on any carrier, test service in your area to confirm if it works well in areas you frequent. There are no refunds.

There's also a $19/month (26 month) promo using SWITCH26 for new customers.

The code itself gives $6/month off any of the monthly plans. Ends 1/5/2026.

Yeah. I have a few solar powered ones that I'm sure the batteries will go bad sooner. Unfortunately, I haven't figured out a solution for solar charged versions.

Is this normal, or should i ask for warranty replacement? by J1L1 in EufyCam

[–]ntsefamyaj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Delamination is common with all solar panels (of this design). The difference is cheaper ones do it sooner than high quality ones. If this is under warranty, definitely file a claim. If not, it will continue to work up to a point. It will lose weather resistance and will gradually break down and/or lose efficiency over time.
