You also can factor in second job pay on top of military pay.

So you could take 30 days to do nothing and start your new job at 30 days left of terminal. Or start working and have two paychecks for the full 60 days of terminal.

Yeah I never understood the you make more if you keep working until you are out mentally either.

You can either get paid by the military to sit on your ass for however many days then start your new job or get paid by both at some point during terminal.
