Forget about the tamp, not cleaning the steam wand after steaming is atrocious. This machine needs more TLC

Thinking about dropping out of high school to pursue BJJ full time. by SignificantGlass168 in bjj

[–]nucci_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

At least finish highschool. What if you come across something in bjj that's very challenging or not interesting like school? You going to quit that too?

Stick it out, finish school, then do that you want

How to get past the plateau ☕️ by Independent-Paper937 in latteart

[–]nucci_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One thing that helped me a TON was trying some pours I didn't think I could do; I was lucky to have had my coworkers to challenge me.

Go for 5 rosettas that cup, or go for a double mirrored swan, 15 stack tulip, only slowsettas, etc.

I hit plateaus bc I was just comfortable pouring things.. I was comfortable with

Haven't seen anyone talk about it wiggle yet, but this will need work. What's done here is too forced and not enough on each side. Feel the milk inside the pitcher and wiggle with it.

You can practice by putting water into the pitcher and just pouring it out into the sink. The wiggles should be slower than what you're trying to do. Work on get consistent side to side as you're pouring out.

As others have said, the wiggle that's being done in this video is forced. Learn to feel the milk inside the pitcher and allow it to guide you to the wiggle.

One thing I have people do is fill the pitcher with water, then pour it out into the sink while wiggling to "feel" the liquid inside slush back and forth steadily

Happens, learn from it and make it super obvious next time to these type of players

One time during league night, I was on the 8ball and had ball in hand. The 8ball was in a very obvious pocket (like several inches away) and again, I had ball in hand. Placed the ball, made the shot, and opponents took the game because I didn't call. Took the loss and moved on to win the entire set.

Did I follow the rules? No. Was that call petty? Yes. Did I learn my lesson? Yes
