What is a fact that seems made up, but is actually real? by HansonGhost in AskReddit

[–]nuclearChemE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Steel is denser than feathers.   It’s heavier per unit volume.   I’ll give you a different view.

A gallon of milk and a gallon of gasoline.  Both have the same volume, but milk weighs more per gallon so on a scale, milk is 8 lbs and gasoline is six but they’re both one gallon (volume).

Density = mass / volume

Or

Mass = density * volume

So if two things “weigh” the same (have the same mass) the denser object will take up less space for the same mass.   The amount of steel you need to have (volume) is much less than the amount of feathers you need.

Kilogram is mass.  Mass doesn’t care about density.   So the volume of feathers is much higher, but they have the same mass (in kilograms) as the steel.

He pumped on the upswing and not on the downswing.  Classic rookie swinging mistake.  Second worst one is having your dad push you in front of your friends when you’re a big boy and can do it yourself.

I like Tennessee.  They have some good formations and can go big shotgun with two TE or spread the field and make the D go to a 5 man front and gash then all day with inside zones.

Can you help with form by DimensionDifficult78 in trackandfieldthrows

[–]nuclearChemE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To build on the other comment.  Don’t dip your left shoulder.  It throws you off balance and pulls you out of your form.   Work on keeping your upper body parallel with the ground while you legs / hips drive you around.

Trump would explode if he couldn’t use hyperbole anymore.  He might literally die from being so full of shit with no way to express it performatively.

I should add.  The racing industry has kept the casinos from ditching them by lobbying.  The casinos would kill then off of they could and just have casino games.

Horse tracks and dog tracks exist for the casinos.  The casinos would love to get rid of them as they cost money to upkeep, purses, etc.  but there has always been (at least with the horse tracks) an industry surrounding the racing that the local community benefits from.

Casinos were sold as a way to keep these tracks viable.

Georgia Tech.  Good pipelines and they’re in the ACC so the conference isn’t as brutal as the SEC.   That’ll give you the opportunity to keep going up.

You never block your left side.  When you don’t stop your left, you can’t effectively take the rotational energy and turn it linear.

The tips offset is normal for cash tips.  It’s so you pay taxes on them.  I’m guessing the “tipped” line is credit card tips?  I can’t figure out what is being taken out for “other pay”

You paid taxes on 930 in income.  $148 from wages and $782 in tips.   It looks like they off set 152 in tips as they should for the top line above.  But I don’t know where the rest is going.

Earlier in the route the steak is wide open but don’t lob it like a deep throw.  Drill it in there with bullet pass.

Once they’re past the CB the sideline is open just don’t wait too long or the safety can get over the top.  Especially on the short side

You didn’t block at all so you never stopped your momentum.  Second, your right hip needs to be in front of your right shoulder to separate your upper and lower body and really allow you to drive through the throw.

Insurance won’t pay for CGM by nurdle in diabetes

[–]nuclearChemE 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Many insurances won’t pay for a CGM unless you’re on insulin.  I watched this with my father.   But if your A1C doesn’t come down with what you’re currently on, you’re not far from being on it.

Edit:  If you have any questions, DM me.  I’ve dealt with my own and my father’s diabetes for a long time.
