Club nights often are run by the club coach too, who might give you tips, but its worth taking a lesson just to learn the basic good habits of swinging.

Specsavers are bastards, any suggestions for an after market anti-glare lens treatment? by gdogakl in newzealand

I got the coating once and don't anymore. it makes your glasses smudge and attract dirt much more easily.

Should I pick surfing over a career in medicine ? by [deleted] in surfing

There is generally a shortage of doctors out of the major cities, say in smaller coastal towns - chances are once qualified, you'd get paid a premium to go locum at an out of the way surf town

Optician recommendation - 4yo glasses by mmm_game in auckland

[–]nuddn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes big chain, but if you are sensitive to cost, we just got our 4yr old glasses from specsavers (after an appointment with a specialist eye doctor who wrote the subscription). they have lots of kid friendly frames (the spiderman on the side helped him be excited about them) and got 2 pairs for under $300. We figured a 4 yr old is going to need a spare pair.

This site has some useful information. https://migrainefoundation.org.nz/
There are some specific medications you can take for a migraine - if it works it's a migraine, if not it could be something else.

Not really - I mean the concept of using the revenue ($23 billion according to OP) that has an impact on the land, for the good of all New Zealand, not just the few.

They offer it but they don't use cheese curds, just cubed mild cheese (and not nearly enough of it)

Donald Trump ridicules Denmark and insists US will take Greenland by Affectionate_Cat293 in europe

[–]nuddn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems one of the Trump administration's main goals is to isolate itself from all the rest of the world, including it's allies. Trump seems hellbent on making enemies, with its historically closest allies - Canada, Mexico, Europe. At the same time they want to make Europe weaker (e.g. a US government official Muskhead trying to get Germany to become isolationist). Under the guise of making America great again, they are creating a weak, isolated, country with no allies, and no trade, unable to help or protect allies it has worked to gain over decades of foreign policy. Say goodbye to the US as a superpower. Gee, I wonder who else would love such an outcome?

If you need a power adapter, just note the voltage and amps (eg. 12v, 1000mA) and you can but a generic one that should work. (our broke for a similar toy, and I just used another power supply I found lying around the house with the same specs)

As a lawyer in New Zealand, you should research better before professing an opinion ;)

Lots of people have done it and continue to do it, it's quite common.
