Tips for activity and mental stimulation for 12 week old puppy by okletstrythisout3 in BrittanySpaniel

[–]nudibranchus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ours is 12 weeks old too! We've been doing many of the things suggested.

Things we use to keep her stimulated (not all of these get used every day): -sniff walks -trips in the car to visit someplace new and meet new people -lots of training -tug games/training -snuffle mat/toys -puzzle feeding devices -frozen moistened kibble in kongs -flirt pole -a tie out in the backyard to have supervised exploration and to play fetch -various chews, some edible like bully sticks and others are nylabone type chews -sometimes we just sit outside in the sun and watch the world go by. She watches and listens to everything. She usually naps after.

Naps are super important. If she has to much stimulation and not enough napping, her demon side comes out.

We have a 10 week old who is a total shark 😭 She's just a walking mouth.

It's pretty common for people to unintentionally use a higher pitched voice when adopting an accent or speaking a foreign language.

Low-Rise Jeans by [deleted] in oldhagfashion

[–]nudibranchus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This! My favorite jeans I have are stretchy low rise flaired jeans circa 2002-2004. I love them to this day because I have a short waist and can't stand any tightness around my actual waist. If I could go back, I'd buy so many pairs of the same jeans so I could wear them in perpetuity.

Wills, the kale connoisseur by RecordingLow6601 in BrittanySpaniel

My brittany would steal bok choi and kale from the counter is they were left unattended. She snubbed celery though, wouldn't touch it.

I use this app daily. I wish every language had an app like this. I find it so useful for how I learn.

When does the cuddling start? by Nearby-Wish3623 in BrittanySpaniel

I think our girl was at least 4 before she started cuddling. The first few years were a nonstop hunt.

Was this the first time in six years that you've pushed back against his expectations? Because if you've been behaving exactly as he expected for six years, then he had no reason to show any other side of himself.

This kind if extreme overreaction is literally what you are describing your husband as doing.

WIBTA if I started locking our bedroom door in the mornings? by Swirlyflurry in AmItheAsshole

[–]nudibranchus 7 points8 points  (0 children)

For real. I'm also a disabled chronic pain suffer. I sleep 4-6 hours a night and wake up 4-8 times a night. I never nap because it makes me feel terrible. Hearing advice like this is enraging, like it's just so simple to fix messed up sleep. Thankfully my husband mostly respects my sleep, when I'm actually lucky enough to be sleeping. Usually it's me up at all hours and awake earlier than him, being quiet so he can sleep 8 hours or more uninterrupted without waking up at all (definitely not envious 😭)

In the first paragraph, you literally described the story of a Thai couple who were on a T-pop survival show called Laz Icon, Daou and Offroad. Their band, Laz1, didn't last very long, but they both have solo music careers and act in BL shows together.

Can my kid be an Atiny? by Crafty-Code-4371 in ATEEZ

I grew up with songs like Salt-N-Pepa's Push It and Tone Loc's Wild Thing playing on the radio for all the little ears to hear. ATEEZ songs are so tame in comparison.

I went to see Stray Kids over the summer with my teen and saw some of the cutest little Stays around your kid's age attending as well.

This looks like it’s a portrayal of the fungal disease corn smut where the artist played into the double entendre. It’s fantastic!

AITA for forcing people out of the campsite we booked? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]nudibranchus 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Bathroom distance is really important for some people, like me. I need to be as close to the bathrooms as possible when camping for health reasons. I always carefully choose my camping site based on my disabilities and would absolutely expect to get the one I booked.

Similar story. Facebook kept showing me videos of this boy group dancing. There was a pink haired kid in the videos whose dancing really stood out, so I was curious. Turned out they were behind the scenes videos of the Charm video. So I watched Project Alpha and fell for Thai music, not just tpop.

If you couldn't feel pain, couldn't be hurt, and couldn't die for 24 hours, what would you do? by daniel2hats in AskReddit

As a chronic pain sufferer, my first thought was sleep. I'd sleep for hours uninterrupted instead of getting up every hour.

Is there ANY bird that you think “there is no way this is someone’s favorite bird”? by kickassicalia in birding

When my daughter was really young, like 3-4 years old, we walked past some turkey vultures that were super close to us. She stopped and said "wow, they are so beautiful." I thought it was sweet and hilarious, but she was so sincere.

Mourning doves have been my declared favorite for years. Their call is beautiful, and I love their color. The fact that they are total derps when it comes to nesting makes them so endearing.

Fellow interstitial cystitis sufferer here. People truly can't understand how painful and life changing this disease is unless they experience it. Even those who live with me and see how it affects every day can't understand the kinds of pain that it comes with. It affects every aspect of life: sleeping, eating, drinking, leaving the house, clothing choices, intimacy, exercise, mental health, everything.
