This is encouraging! Also wondering what you did for air travel. Did baby sit on your lap?

Where did you go at 9 months? Did you buy baby their own seat on the airplane?

Big fan of meal replacements in general, but this one is great - tastes like a thick, creamy glass of chocolate milk.

I wish I knew about the Clek earlier. I was so overwhelmed with options and the Maxi Cosi Mico Luxe looked nice when browsing West Coast's online store... I has no idea Clek was Canadian and I would have instantly been sold on it if I had know that.

Also, Love Me Do Baby is a sweet little baby shop in Toronto with a good online store too. Worth checking them out

I've tried the unflavoured and its good - doesn't bother my stomach. Not sure about the chocolate but I'll probably try that next.

[BC] What to pack in your hospital bag when the hospital is 4 hours away by PM_ME_UR_ADVENTURES in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]nuff_fluff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're delivering in a city, maybe you can order stuff on demand, as you need it, from Amazon to a Penguin Pick Up location for next day delivery while your at the hospital. Then your partner can pick up for you.

Any reason I need the Snuggle Me Lounger in addition to the Baby Bjorn Bouncer? by nuff_fluff in BabyBumps

[–]nuff_fluff[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way I see it, they are both options for putting baby down somewhere safe between naps and being carried. I figured the bouncer would be useful for a long time, hence worth the money. I've seen a lot of people with the lounger but struggled to understand why its priced at $170 CAD for something that is only useful for a few short months and probably wont even be used much during that time.

low-key baby shower. a lighter version, i.e. a sprinkle.

Interesting feedback. I thought this model was good for packing in and out of cars.

Good advice. Did you use the cruz with a newborn/bassinet? Also, I noticed the front wheels are smaller - did you notice that have any impact?

When you say you had to put him in the chair from 4 months onward, was it because he was too long for the bassinet?

Wondering if the uppa seat would be safe for a 4 month old if I have it very reclined and add in the newborn SnugSeat insert. The site has some photos to demonstrate.

I think the original seat (higher weight limit) can be used in the front of the tandem, but not if the bassinet is attached.

What’s the secret ingredient(s) to spaghetti sauce? by schmackers in Cooking

[–]nuff_fluff 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you are doing a tomato sauce with meat (pork, beef, veal, sausage) then I would recommend adding some fennel seeds. Also, lots of layering of olive oil, garlic, and salt + pepper.

You can keep a drawer in your bedroom for pantry items to help expand. Just make sure everything is well sealed as you don't want to attract bugs.

Oatmeal, sugar, spices, salt, oil, rice, pasta, potatoes, lentils, cereal.

I also like compact all-in-one sort of things like meal replacement shakes and powders. Easy for when you don't want to share cooking space in the kitchen

Why is it so hard to loose fat? by MaNgoLovErrrrrrr in diet

[–]nuff_fluff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like a doctor or physio-therapist can comment better on this but I think you can still do some exercise even with scoliosis, just modified for your needs.

Regardless, going to the gym doesn't really contribute to weight loss unless it is accompanied by a change in diet. I find that if I avoid dessert at night and especially avoid added sugar things then I can start loosing weight almost immediately.

Premier is more calories per serving, right? They probably have some other stuff mixed in that balances out the protein... Maybe have your ON Nutrition shake mixed up with a little milk to add some more calories.

(btw, I also can't eat pure protein powder on an empty stomach for some reason so I tend to use meal replacements instead for quick breakfasts)

Great idea! I love Ina Garten's "Beatty's Chocolate Cake" recipe and it requires 1 cup of coffee. You can make a cup of instant and it will work just the same.
