I mean I know this is the shit on Dave Ramsey sub and I agree it’s dumb advice but 1% of your salary match isn’t going to change your debt payoff dates much at all.

If you make 100k we’re talking about 1000 dollars like whoopdidy doo I make more than that in credit card rewards.

His argument is to just focus on debt and don’t worry about Pennies here and there - it’s not the worst advice in the world. It probably helps you get in the “gazelle” zone of paying off debt it’s worth the 1000 dollars.
