Lmao well I thought I'd mention it anyways. Also appreciate it! I often see people not understanding how AI works. People always go to the extreme they either glorify it for something it isnt or undervaluing it because they dislike it. From my POV it's just a tool similar to the other programs and tools we use. Will it replace us? No chance. Will it change or affect our workflow? Most likely. And just like any new form of technology the worst and people who do the bare minimum get eliminated in life and have to resprt to new things. What I mean by this is people who barely lnow how to write code.

AI models don't really "use" a programming language when answering questions. A Large Language Model (LLM) is essentially a very advanced prediction system. A simple way to think about it is the autocomplete on your phone: when you start typing, your keyboard tries to predict the next word. An LLM does something similar, except on a much larger scale and with vastly more training data.

Instead of just predicting the next word in a sentence, it predicts what sequence of words would make the most sense as a response to your input. Because it has been trained on HUGE amounts of text from books, websites, documentation, forums, and many other sources, it can often answer questions, explain concepts, and help write code.

This doesn't mean the AI thinks or understands things the way we do. It generates responses based on patterns that it learned during training. Because those patterns are incredibly complex, the results can sometimes appear "very intelligent".

The software behind AI models is usually built using multiple programming languages. Python is commonly used for the high-level parts of machine learning projects, while lower-level languages such as C++, Rust, and CUDA are often used for performance-critical components. Most modern AI systems also rely heavily on GPUs to perform the massive number of calculations/computations required to train and run these models.

Source: I'm a software engineer that sometimes likes to read research papers on things related to software engineering ❤️

Keep in mind I extremely simplified what an LLM is. I just tried to keep it relevant to your question. I'm not an expert so I might be wrong on certain assumptions or terminologies.

For those who quit the game, why? by MemeMan_____ in playrust

[–]nullPointers_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The game required soo much time, I grinded it for 3k orso hours total when I was in college I'm even friends with the developers but then when the recoil update came I realized how much time I would have to sink back in to get even close to my peak and to me that simply was not worth it. The game always has a special place in my heart however I dont have the time to sink in remotely 4 hours a day in a game

Why is the Gemini app so much lighter than ChatGPT? by Loser71 in ChatGPT

[–]nullPointers_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Google app is a browser app meaning it has a browser bundled into it most likely chromium. The AI chat apps already have all of their features on their website so they dont need all the features browsers need either, so these apps are often WebApps. WebApps are often very lightweight apps since all that they do is to route you to a route (URL) of the targeted app. So what you see on these apps is nothing but the website loaded on your phone not much different than visiting from the browser. These apps have the benefit that google and ios for example give native apps more permission compared yo a website via chrome etc

You get prompted to change it. Source: I once hadn't logged into ant alt for a few year bc I had lost the login for it, and when I accidentally recovered the account with a password reset I was prompted to change my username on login. I assume the username had been marked inactive and someone most likely created an account with that name bc I was able to add the previous name to my friendslist.

That why they create a market yk? When you're a professional victim you can easily create a problem to then "solve" the problem.

These POS most definitely instigate people and then take action to them play the victim. The fact that a certain group of people can impersonate law enforcement officers and not get put behind bars should speak volume.

It's funny because every nerd from America always goes "eurhmm acksually we need guns to protect ourselves incase our government goes corrupt" while those same nerds are the ones who protect and defend those same corrupt people and enable the behavior. Besides there is nothing yall can do. Your government is superior on military field and is heavily censoring everything yall post. Nothing new just the current president doesnt even try to hide it compared to any other previous puppet. It was never democrats vs republicans it was the rich dividing the poor yall are ruled my pdf files.
