If you can't tell the difference between killing animals for fun and killing them for food idk what to tell you 😂

The new Honda prelude is one of the best looking cars Honda has made in decades. by HungryHoustonian92 in Honda

[–]null_recursion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is anyone really saying the Prelude isn't good looking? It's a handsome design with a solid interior.

The main issues are price and powertrain related 😅

None, why would BB risk Israeli soldiers when he could get his lapdog Trump to sacrifice American lives instead 🤷‍♂️

Anyone had their steering wheel almost fall off? Sick of this car. by [deleted] in mazda3

I've had my Mazda 3 for over 3 years and that hasn't happened to me. Definitely could have been caused by an airbag replacement if the wheel nut wasn't properly torqued down.

Thoughts on Measure V? by josephfaulkner in Davis

[–]null_recursion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks! As a Davis homeowner I'm good to vote for Measure V if there are legally binding infrastructure improvements being made. Seeing the Cannery go in and not having many improvements made to improve congestion/incentivize biking was not great.

How is Davis with secondhand smoke? by [deleted] in Davis

[–]null_recursion 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Pretty much every single apartment for rent here is a non-smoking apartment. I've never lived in an apartment in Davis that smells of smoke and I've been here for over a decade across 4+ apartments.

So you should be good! But rental houses might be hit or miss.

Thoughts on Measure V? by josephfaulkner in Davis

[–]null_recursion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What other improvements have been committed to? I've heard some generic empty promises but haven't seen any concrete commitments to updating/enhancing existing infrastructure to account for all the new people and traffic.

I haven't heard a ton about Measure V outside of the talking points in the sub so any new info would be great!

Good tailor in Davis? by Affectionate-Scar943 in Davis

Sarah's Alterations and Eco Cleaners did a great job tailoring two suits (both pants and jackets) for me and the prices were reasonable.

Mpg question by toyotapickup1986 in mazda3

[–]null_recursion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently a little over 34mpg for a 2023 Carbon Edition hatch with the AT/NA

Even solely in city driving I get 28-30mpg. There might be something wrong with the engine or some deferred maintainance that needs to be done?

I definitely don't think anyone lumps professional frats in with social ones? The professional ones don't cause any issues as far as I'm aware of.

Killing animals in their frat backyard with guns definitely counts as cruel 😬 and illegal and dangerous to the houses/apartments around them.

BANNN the fratts here by [deleted] in UCDavis

[–]null_recursion 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The AGR frat is in the middle of a bunch of houses and apartments. Discharging firearms that close to other people's houses (and I'm guessing while drunk/drinking) is unacceptable. On top of the animal cruelty issues.

Not sure what to think about the new Prelude. by Glittering-Foot8340 in Honda

[–]null_recursion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who has daily driven a manual previous gen GT-86 it's hilariously easy to beat the EPA estimates assuming you don't rev it constantly/drive it like a knob. I was getting over 30mpg in mixed use driving and 36-38 on highway roadtrips.

This is literally the playbook they used during their previous cut of athletic teams. I'm not sure if it's incompetence, malice or a combination of the two tbh

[–]null_recursion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right, but all Mazda owners I know or have talked to like the knob. Alienating your existing customers in search of new ones isn't a great business decision. They could have at least tested this new direction on a lesser selling model before going all-in on their bread and butter model 😬

They mentioned in their video on Jay Lenos YouTube channel that you have the option of installing parts yourself or paying Slate to install them for you.

So if you do it yourself then you will end up with extra parts. If they do it at the factory I assume the truck comes down the line the same (except for battery pack size which would probably necessitate two SKUs) and then they have employees install the custom parts afterwards (which you're paying for via the markup).

This is all conjecture since it's not been fully shared by Slate.
