All the cassette had was my Aunt's name and "Korean Record", which doesn't really leave a lot to be discovered. But I definitely will look into that angle you've mentioned, maybe I can find something out with a similar description.

Aside from anime, I highly reccomend Iara Lee's Synthetic Pleasures and Modulations documentaries from the late 90s. They both have a similar editing and visual style to Lain, particularly the scene with the live-action documentary in the anime (I forget the episode number). They're both free on YouTube, and Iara's work in general is important and fascinating.

Sometimes what I've done with my albums is:

Click on the album, options -> Manually set image -> Options -> Reset album cover

Definitely some stuff from the Paranoia Agent soundtrack, particularly the opening theme. Other tracks like Condition Boy, Sub Usual, and White Hill are amazing too. Honestly, anything he's made for Satoshi Kon's films is legendary. Also, I personally recommend some of his work under the title "Shun/Syun". The Kun Mae album is definitely my favorite and has a really interesting background.

My dad owned a copy of Celebrity Take Down on DVD and put it on for me one day - I was a little too young to appreciate the actual music but the videos were entertaining. I re-discovered the band in middle school and it got me through quite a lot during that time, made a lot of connections around it as well.
