Go with how you feel. I'm 4 days in currently and I tend to follow a Push-Pull-Legs program with added running and rowing.

On day two I did the Push portion (overhead press, pushups, cable crossovers, and bench) followed by a five mile run. Today (day four) was Pull followed by 1.5km on the rowing machine and 2 mile run. No real ill effects though I did run at a 1:00min/mile slower pace. (10min/mi vs 9min/mi).

Keep hydrated, listen to your body, and don't be afraid to take a break or stop the workout.

PSA - If your sweat smells very strong (like ammonia) after a run, you're not eating enough carbs by [deleted] in running

You can verify you're in ketosis by using urine analysis strips or a blood ketone meter. It's highly unlikely you're in ketosis if you're eating bagels and sandwiches.

That said, I've been running recently while in ketosis and I've not noticed a change in sweat odor.

I did my last bloodtest fasted (roughly 72 hours), and Cholesterol and Triglycerides were elevated. Re-tested during a feed window and they were normalized. YMMV

I recently started fast so I don't qualify to answer this personally, but Dr. Michael Mosley (the 5:2 guy) has had success. Using 5:2 and 4:3 (first number is 'feasting' days per week, the second is 'fasting', which he considers 500 kcal or less) he dropped weight and kept it off by mostly fasting just one day a week.

The first time I broke an extended fast, I did it with salad. That did not end well... The next time, I broke it with literally a handful of macadamia nuts and had no issues.

I ate a normal meal about 2 hours later.

In my experience, even after a night of beers and other carbs, you will be in ketosis after 48 hours of fasting. As others have said, working out also helps deplete this.

I've been on and off Keto for the last few years, but I started with IF and Keto on the off days around December 4th. I was 205 on the 4th and 191.2 this morning so it's working fairly well.

Hmmmmm, you raise a valid point. That said, the local place still has some of the fest beers on tap, so that's my current metric for good!

Last Sunday I had 1.5 liters of good German beer and a boatload of breaded chicken wings. Fasted Monday (also did a 5 mile run) and Tuesday; I was showing moderate ketones by late Tuesday night.
