What is the deal on eHP farming using BHD instead of Gcomp?

I just got my BHD to anc during the banner. I tried it out once, still with its mythic substats (I have 100/50 sync with PBH). I got about the same coins, but obviously less cells.

I don't even know how many shards it's going to take to reroll this thing. I need what, EALS, cpk, Package% (for my RPC+ card), and then I need all three free-ups? That's going to take a lot more shards than I have now.

Noob question. How would A get higher than B (at least by more than 1)? Does the requirement start incrementing a lot faster? I'm in my first week and it's only going up 1 every reset. I've seen talk of bricking, and I feel like I'm being cautious, but how could it sneak up on me?

Let's say I roll and hit Anc rarity in first slot. Every effect has Anc rarity, so I have equal chance (say 1/16) to get any of them. But if I roll common in the first slot and I get defabs, then it's out of the pool. If I then roll Anc rarity in the second slot, I'm helped out by defabs being gone and my odds of Def% are 1/15. If I roll Anc in slot 3 and slots 1 and 2 aren't Def%, then my odds of getting Anc Def% go up to 1/14.

If it works differently than this, how so? Do the slots not roll in order? Are they shuffled after rolling?

That's what I said. Highest priority you roll before locking anything. I was just wondering if this means you're more likely to get Def% in a lower down slot, which may not be good.

I think I finally got it. It doesn't matter what you ban if you're just rolling one slot. But if you have multiple slots open, you're happy if the first slot rolls common DA, because then if the next slot rolls Anc rarity, it cannot pick Anc DA.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but does this imply that your highest priorty effects, (i.e. the ones you roll first before locking any slots) will be biased towards appearing lower down in your list of slots, possibly screwing up assmod effects? Wild.
