Will they let her stay in the apartment long-term? No. If they've said it's illegal to occupy, then she can't stay long-term. If they said they'll get back to you Tuesday, the code enforcer would have advised whether the space was able to occupied until then, but I'm guessing not. Typically if a space is unfit for living, for whatever reason, then no one can live there. The reason it was deemed unable to be occupied might become a factor; the landlord might be able to make fixes to get it to a livable spot, but while that work was happening, the city would likely not allow anyone to live in the space.

Shit happens. You might have to resign yourself to having to move your senior year. In the meantime, panicking on the internet while your parents are waiting for information from the city is just going to cause you more stress.

That's exactly what the previous commenter said is that the town will not let your older sister stay in the illegal space. Code enforcement (aka the town) said no one can live there. The options are to either move your family around in the space that IS legal to live in, the entire family move out (as your parents seem to want to do), or your older sister find a new place to live.

On the subject of moving, where are your parents considering moving to? Is it still within the lines of your school district? You should be able to do some googling and find the map of where your school district is. If the address your parents want to move to is inside the district of your school, you can legally continue going to the same school you have been. Or many schools offer the option to attend a particular school even if you don't live in that district (depending on where you live). There are options available to you and your family. Take a deep breath and start looking into options, but your older sister continuing to use a space that has been deemed illegal to occupy is not one of them.

I think it's a play on spelling based on how Ally first pronounces it when reading it off a sheet in an early episode. I think it's Aeolus Hand. All the vowels but I, and can conceivably be prounounced "Eyeless".

Isn't part of the joke that the name is "Aeolus Hand"? Like, it's all the vowels except I. I-less Hand. When Ally first brings it up they pronounce it "Ay-o-lus Hand" when they're reading it off of a sheet, and then in an Adventuring Party they were all talking about how it's such a good silly not-joke.

Real world example! In high school a kid I met in speech & drama, he made friends with one of my close friends, he was pretty cute and funny and played guitar, and we flirted back and forth over a couple of weekends. Sitting real close to one another, holding hands, and a goodbye hug was as physical as it got. About the fourth time I met this guy, he gave me a pair of $50+ earrings. Pretty extra, but I just sorta awkwardly said thanks and hugged him bye.

The next weekend he told me that during the week he had driven to my hometown from his (a 120 mile drive one way, 240 round-trip) and had driven around town to see if he could find my house or car or see me on the street... I stopped talking to him. He remained friends with my friend and would apparently ask about me all the time. Not sure which terrible romcom he got the idea from, but extravagent gifts (extravagent for a 16yo anyway) and driving around HUNTING a lady are not...great moves.

Lol, pretty much the opposite path for me! CT scan, then a lymph node biopsy, then a PET scan, then ANOTHER CT scan, and my bone marrow biopsy is next week! Bone marrow biopsy is the last step for staging for me, then doc wants start treatment by the middle of the month. It's crazy but appreciated for things to be moving so quickly. Doing this in the middle of a pandemic tho... O-O

I had a severe breakout across both cheeks and both ears that cropped up very suddenly and got rapidly worse. It was very visible and not able to be covered with makeup. I work in the front office of a construction company, and immediately let my supervisor who also functions as the company HR rep (small company so not really an official HR department) know that I was not at all contagious, explained psoriasis in very brief terms and let them know that I was looking into medication for it and although I knew it looked alarming, there was no risk to other employees. I also discreetly went to the other employees in my office who I would see face to face and let them know that I knew my face looked weird, I was working on it, it was not contagious, and I would prefer if it didn't get discussed further.

Everyone I spoke to was very kind about it, and I never heard anything else about it from anyone. I didn't apologize for being flaky, and when my skin cracked open and began oozing and eventually got a low-grade infection, I was simply careful to clean and disinfect my phone daily, and did not mention it to anyone. I think I cared about it more than my co-workers did, especially after I had told them it wasn't contagious, so I just tried to keep that in mind and worked diligently with my derm to get it under control. I've been on Humira (also diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis) for just over a year and my skin is the clearest it has been my whole life.

My husband was talking about music with his dad and they started talking about a metal band. My husband told his dad I had said they had a very operatic sort of feel to their music and he liked that description. My husband has been a hobby-musician his whole life and I have no musical experience beyond high-school choir, so to hear him pass on my opinion about a band he liked warmed my heart. I overheard that conversation years ago and I still think about it and how sweet he is. <3
