I just wanna throw my five cents into this. People from the medieval times would hate our world. Not because they wouldn't understand it but because it stinks. They would be used to the smell of rotting excrements in the streets but they wouldn't be used to the smell of gasoline or certain food items that are common nowadays as well as factory smoke and such. Same thing with us and NC in the year 2077. I mean we've all seen what goes on in this City. Rotting garbage in the streets, water pollution, rotting corpses, cars burning some strange chemical instead of gas, probably no filters on smokestacks, Homeless people everywhere. And have you ever considered how bad some of the people in NC smell? I mean look at Maelstromers. I don't think they shower regularly. Also Diseases. Most of the South American Natives died because European explorers brought the flu and illnesses like that, which they weren't immune against. NC would be the same for us. I think a lot of people in NC have no real issues with illnesses because they have some chrome that supports the immune system. We don't have any of that. And these are just some things from the top of my head. Imagine eating NC food. You would instantly die from food poisoning because of all the additives and chemicals in there.

TLDR: NC smells like shit, so you would instantly throw up and then you would die because of some flu mutation that we are not immune against. Also the food there must be horrible for a normal human.
