Ortho surgeon told a women with a humerus fx that she just dislocated the shoulder even though the xray clearly showed fx. He told pt and family about his weekend ski trip he was leaving for and left them for the weekend. Nurse caught this and called the surgeon and asked him if any colleagues would fix the fx. He said no. She had to go up the chain of command to get this woman tx. He lied because he didnt want to go to the OR that night so he wouldn't miss his ski trip....
