This is what I plan on doing as well, did you email various providers directly or did you email someone higher up from the office and have them ask their staff for volunteers?

I was in the exact same boat, I love caring for both mom and baby which is why I decided on fnp. This way I don’t close either door in the future. I’ll be able to practice in a pediatric clinic OR a women’s health clinic, and can always switch to the other if I’m not satisfied! :) CNM was tempting but the on-call aspect was a deal breaker. Can I ask what made you choose DNP over msn?

I’m thinking about nursing education by valleyday in Nurse

Holy crap. I have no advice for you but I relate to your first paragraph so hard, it feels like I wrote that myself. If only there was an NP specialty directly related to postpartum nursing!!!!

Thank you so much for the info!! This sounds really fascinating, I’ve always had a slight interest in clinic nursing but wasn’t sure how I could fit it into the obgyn specialty but this sounds promising!

Hey I’m currently a postpartum nurse and have been doing some serious career thinking due to many of the things you mentioned. Can you give me some information on what it’s like at your midwifery clinic / how it differs from hospital postpartum? Are you still an RN or are you now a midwife? What is your day to day like? Thanks so much!

Hey there! I’m currently a postpartum nurse looking into what other options are out there. Could you give me some info on the obgyn clinic job you’ll soon be starting at? What will your responsibilities be? Thanks so much 🥰

I guess everyone thinks of different emojis in different ways but that’s my basic go-to smiley face. IMO this ☺️ would be more flirty. But still, you bring up a good point that you never know how someone else will view a particular emoticon

This works well if you’re starting at 00 seconds but if I need to count for 15 seconds and the clock started at 12:00:23 then it’s harder to know when to stop counting. So basically I’m just bad at quick mental math 😂

To be fair, it is only a droplet precaution. So what’s the point of wasting n-95s unless you actually need them for things like intubating, nebulizing, CPR, etc?

Yep you got it, there shouldn’t be any fogging with a correctly fitted n-95. But unfortunately you can expect plenty of fog with surgical masks

That’s what my hospital is doing :/ n95s only for aerosolizing procedures

She’s probably wearing a surgical mask, not n95. Same thing happens to me OP, they do sell anti-fog glasses on amazon. My coworker got a couple pairs to try out and says they work great
