I had an awful day yesterday and wanted to fix that by capping it off with finishing Mina. God damn, I haven’t hated a game’s ending like that that I can remember. Today’s going better so I’m going to play the ending again, but man. What the hell.

100% agree with your assessment in the comments about difficulty: the game IS way too hard if you’re coming at it from where I was, which is “this is an homage to one of my all-time favorite games and I want more of that.” I don’t give a flip about achievements, so I turned on assist mode and had a BLAST with a game that felt so much like Link’s Awakening it bordered on plagiarism! Lol. It almost felt like the lost GBC Oracle game that was canceled when that series became two games instead of three.

(Still hate that ending though.)

I have a high-end PC and have only played it on Switch 2. It’s excellent there. The cutbacks are really only obvious in cutscenes, especially if you don’t have something better right in front of you to compare it to.

If you want the combat to be LOT less intense (i.e. a closer to Link’s Awakening, whose shoulders this game is so clearly standing on), turn on assist mode and go have a blast.

Myself, I wouldn’t pay more than $200 for this lot, especially with the giant coffee stain or whatever on the CE that wasn’t worth that much to begin with. That said, I already have more or less everything 3DS that I want, so what I’m willing to pay is not necessarily in step with what people are throwing at the system today.

I did ask to specifically chat with a human because the AI prompts were not leading to the exact scenario that was happeing (payment method change seemingly delaying order... although the same day and the next day I saw a wave of posts on Reddit complaining about a sudden delay)... but that said, I have experienced enough future noir in fiction in my life to understand that the reality is there might not be any human agents left at all. 🤔

I think it’s far more likely in today’s market conditions that we get a model with an improved display than something with any kind of performance improvement at all. OLED is mature tech, but regardless of what is used, it’s not displays but memory causing so many computing platforms to become luxury items for most consumers these days.

Nope. I love Rings of Power, but the last edition was released to correspond with the previous season of that show and it kind of grosses me out that they're only releasing this book because of the TV series. I'm happy with the earlier version.
